නිර්මාණය (Integrated Design) පිළිබඳ ගෞරව උපාධිය යනු නිර්මාණ ආශ්රිත විෂයයන් සඳහා උසස් අධ්යයන, වෘත්තීය සහ පර්යේෂණ අධ්යයන සඳහා හොඳ පදනමක් සැපයීම සඳහා නිර්මාණය කර ඇති පූර්ණ කාලීන අධ්යයනයේ වසර හතරක උපාධි වැඩසටහනකි. දෙවන වසරේ පළමු අධ්යයන වාරය අවසානයේදී, සිසුන්ට ඔවුන්ගේම දිශාව හඳුනා ගැනීමට අවසර දී ඇති අතර පහත සඳහන් විශේෂීකරණයේ එක් ක්ෂේත්රයක විශේෂඥතාවය ලබා ගැනීමේ අවස්ථාව හිමි වේ.

The Honours Degree of Bachelor of Design is a 4-year degree programme of full-time study and is designed to provide a good foundation for advanced academic, professional, and research studies in the disciplines related to Design.

මොරටුව විශ්ව විද්යාලයේ වාර්ෂික යෝග්යතා පරීක්ෂණය උසස් පෙළ සමත් සියලු සිසුනට විවෘත අවස්ථාවකි. මෙමගින් මොරටුව විශ්ව විද්යාලය මගින් පහසුකම් සපයනු ලබන වටිනා උපාධි පාඨමාලාවක් වන "විලාසිතා නිර්මාණකරනය සහ නිපැයුම් ප්රවර්ධනය" හැදෑරීම සඳහා අවස්ථාව ලබා දෙනු ලැබේ. මෙය ඕනෑම විෂය ධාරාවක් යටතේ උසස් පෙළ විභාගයට මුහුණ දී සමත් වන සියලු සිසුනට විවෘත වේ.
විලාසිතා නිර්මාණකරනය වර්තමානයේ ඉතා වටිනා රැකියා අවස්ථාවන් සලසා දෙනු ලබන උපාධි පාඨමාලාවක් ලෙස හඳුන්වා දිය හැක.
මෙහිදී උසස් පෙළ විභාගය සමත් වීමට අමතරව මේ සඳහා අවශ්ය සුදුසුකම් වනුයේ සාමාන්ය පෙළ විභාගයේ ඉංග්රිසී භාෂාව සඳහා අවම 'S' සාමාර්ථයක් සහ ගණිතය විෂය සඳහා අවම 'C' සාමාර්ථයක් ලබා තිබීමයි.
මෙම යෝග්යතා පරීක්ෂණය පැවැත්වීමේ අරමුණ වනුයේ විලාසිතා නිර්මාණකරනයට උනන්දුවක් සහ හැකියාවක් පවතින, නිර්මාණශීලී සහ වෙනස් වූ කෝණයකින් සිතුවිලි මෙහෙයවන දක්ෂ සිසු පිරිසක් වෙන්කර ගැනීමයි. විලාසිතා නිර්මාණකරනයේදී මෙම හැකියාවන් ඉතා වැදගත් වන අතර පාරිභෝගික අවශ්යතා හඳුනා ගනිමින් විසඳුම් නිර්මාණය කිරීමට සහ නව තාක්ෂණය මුසු කරගනිමින් විලාසිතා ලෝකයේ නව මානයන් සොයා යෑමටද මෙම හැකියාවන් පැවැත්වීම ඉතා වැදගත් වේ.

මොරටුව විශ්ව විද්යාලයේ මෙම උපාධි පාඨමාලාව මෙවැනි වටිනා අවස්ථාවන් රැසක් උදාකර දෙනු ලබන උපාධි පාඨමාලාවක් වන අතර මේ සඳහා වන යෝග්යතා පරීක්ෂණය නිර්මාණශීලි, නව දැනුමින් ස්වයංපෝෂිත සහ නව තාක්ෂණය හා මුසු වූ නව පරපුරක් බිහි කිරීමට අත්වැල් සපයන එක් ආරම්භක පියවරක් වේ.
The aptitude test organized by University of Moratuwa is open to all Advanced Level students. This gives the opportunity to study “Fashion Design and Product Development”, a valuable degree program facilitated by University of Moratuwa. This is open to all students who have passed the A-level examination under any subject stream. Fashion design can be introduced as a degree program which provides valuable job opportunities nowadays.
In addition to passing the A-level examination, the required qualification for this is to have obtained a minimum 'S' pass in English Language and a minimum 'C' pass in Mathematics subject.
The purpose of conducting this aptitude test is to select a talented group of students who have interest and ability in fashion design and to select people who are thinking from a different and creative angle. These abilities are very important in fashion design and it is also very important to find new dimensions in the world of fashion by identifying customer needs and creating solutions and incorporating new technology.
Graduates who successfully complete this degree program can find many career opportunities in this country as well as abroad.
