Dwelling at Kalapaluwawa is located in short distance suburbs from Colombo, designed for a doctor and an engineer where fulfilled 1420 sqf footprint out of 14 perch of land by satisfying, x4 bed rooms, Living, Dining, pantry, kitchen, shrine area, library area, x2 parking slots and a servant’s area. Total gross area of the building 2880 sqf. The land is sloppy, undulated and facing to a natural marsh, and land fringe by road and to a street perpendicular to the property.

Shape of Modern Living: Luxury Villa in Matara.
Located in the prestigious Browns Hills area, a coveted coastal location in Matara, Sri Lanka, this unique property spans 14.8 perches of land. The villa is designed to offer a luxurious modern living experience, featuring four expansive bedrooms, a swimming pool, an entertainment area, and a spacious dining space.
The villa's design capitalizes on the site's breathtaking views, seamlessly integrating them into the architectural concept. A dynamic spatial organization is employed, with a twisting layout that enhances the villa's connection to its surroundings. Elevated at varying heights, the layout optimizes panoramic views of both the serene sea and the lively town.
The villa unfolds over three levels, showcasing cutting-edge engineering. Each floor is uniquely twisted and cantilevered at both ends, adding a striking visual appeal and architectural uniqueness. The flowing design enhances not only the aesthetic charm but also the view from every level, ensuring that each space offers a direct connection to the stunning vistas.

SHAPE OF TROPICAL LIVING: PROPOSED HOUSE IN DIKWELLA



CONCEPT: “THE LAKE VISTA”

Located in the lush tropical countryside of Dikwella, within the Matara District, this property sits on 84 perches of lightly sloping, lush land. The standout feature of the site is a serene lake that lies directly in front of the house, providing a breathtaking natural backdrop.

The house is designed around the central theme of embracing the lake view—capturing it from every space within the home. At the ground level, the lake seamlessly merges with an infinity-edge swimming pool, blurring the line between man-made and natural water elements. On the upper floor, each bedroom is oriented to enjoy elevated, uninterrupted views of the lake.
Design Brief: 4 spacious bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom, Expansive living and dining areas, Upper-level lounge with scenic views, A fully equipped service zone including a kitchen, storage room, and separate servants' quarters, an Infinity-edge swimming pool.

The building form evolves from the tropical landscape, integrating passive design principles and open, flowing spaces that celebrate the surrounding environment. The architecture expresses a refined balance between contemporary design and the vernacular spirit of tropical living.

Interior Design for Attorney Offices in Office Complex, Matara

The office complex, located in Matara, was designed to accommodate two office spaces, each tailored to suit the needs of a lawyer's practice. One of the main challenges was optimizing the available space while meeting all the client’s requirements. Office 2, in particular, had a high demand for workstations and storage, which created a tight fit in its 340 sq ft area. Another consideration was ensuring that both offices had sufficient washroom facilities.
Additionally, the client requested a blend of traditional and modern design elements, with a focus on wood finishes and a contemporary touch. To achieve this, a careful balance was struck using a color palette that incorporated whites to create a spacious and airy feel. The architectural design emphasized a mix of smooth and textured finishes, as well as solids and voids, to add depth and character to the space.

"The Modern Vacation Lifestyle: Leisure Promenade at Hiriketiya"

The leisure promenade at Hiriketiya is situated on the southern coast, just a short distance from Matara, covering three roods of land. This promenade boasts a footprint of 10,500 square feet, with the total building area reaching an impressive 11,500 square feet.
The client’s vision was to establish a hub that enhances the tourism experience around Hiriketiya Beach, a popular destination for foreign tourists during the peak season. The goal was to provide a space that offers not only food and beverages but also wellness treatments, all within a tranquil and relaxing environment.
The architect's approach focused on maximizing the available space to create a seamless blend of comfort and functionality. A key feature of the design is an open courtyard inspired by the graceful movement of a whale, a nod to the region’s renowned whale-watching and maritime activities.
This courtyard serves as the central gathering point, featuring an organically shaped swimming pool and an ice bath area, transforming it into a serene focal point. The choice of colors and materials was carefully considered to cultivate a soothing ambiance, enhancing the overall experience for guests.

Shape Of Modern Living: Dwelling at Amabalangoda

The Dwelling at Ambalangoda is a testament to contemporary living in the charming suburbs near Ambalangoda town. Settled on a 16-perch plot, this residence spans an impressive 2120 sqft footprint, designed to accommodate the needs of a modern family. With four bedrooms, a spacious living area, dining room, kitchen, shrine area, TV lobby, servant’s quarters, and a convenient parking slot, the total gross area of the building reaches a substantial 4120 sqft.
The client had a simple yet profound vision for their home—to create a spacious haven for their family, nurturing a sense of openness for their two children. The Architect aimed to bring this vision to life by crafting a studio-type ambiance that responded to any previous experiences of congestion. The interior design accentuates a serene environment by carefully considering colors and materials. Notably, the client’s wife, a former captain of the national table tennis team, sought to inspire her children through the house concept.

The concept revolves around creating a "Champion's Space," a home designed to celebrate life's victories and provide an inspiring environment for the family. And it is extending to a commitment not to venture outside during weekends, fostering a sense of intimacy within the home.
