Post-Tensioning Works at IKN National Mosque in Indonesia Successfully Delivered

This milestone marks the completion of post-tensioning installations for both beams and slabs across key structural areas. The works were delivered through a fully integrated process, from design coordination through to on-site ex*****on, ensuring consistency and precision at every stage.

A key challenge in this project was the implementation of a circular post-tensioned flat slab system, designed to support large, column-free spaces beneath the mosque’s main dome. This required close coordination, precise tendon profiling, and disciplined control throughout the stressing and grouting processes.

Despite the technical complexity and demanding site conditions, the works were carried out in line with the required standards. The completed structure now achieves the intended performance, providing wider spans, and improved structural efficiency.

With this milestone achieved, Utracon is proud to have contributed to one of Indonesia’s landmark developments—delivering not only engineering solutions, but also supporting the creation of a space that will serve the community for years to come.

Utracon EV Charging Business Launched in Sri Lanka under the brand name of UltraCharge.

On 30th April 2026, we proudly inaugurated our EV Charging business, marking a significant milestone in our journey towards expanding our presence in the green energy sector.

This launch represents a new chapter in our green business expansion as we introduce our very own EV DC fast-charging station, equipped with both POS and app-based payment modes to deliver greater convenience for EV users while supporting a more sustainable future.

This initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting the transition towards sustainable mobility and reducing carbon emissions. By introducing EV charging infrastructure, we aim to contribute to the development of a cleaner, smarter, and more energy-efficient ecosystem in Sri Lanka.

More than the start of a new business line, this milestone is a step forward in our broader vision of advancing sustainable energy solutions across the region and driving the future of green mobility.

Utracon Sri Lanka’s Annual Dinner 2026 was held at Water’s Edge Hotel in Battaramulla on 29th April. This year, an Avurudu-themed dress code was introduced, adding vibrant colour and beautifully reflecting the spirit of the Sinhala and Tamil New Year.
The evening commenced with traditional New Year games, where staff members came together in a lively and joyful atmosphere. Laughter and cheers filled the air as colleagues supported one another, creating unforgettable memories and strengthening team bonds.
During the event, four staff members were appreciated for their 10 years of dedicated service and valuable contributions to the company. They were presented with awards by the Company Director, Mr. Khoo Jyh Hao.
The event highlighted Utracon’s commitment to diversity and inclusion, making the annual dinner a truly memorable occasion for all. While some took home prizes, the real reward was the collective joy and togetherness that made the evening truly special.

Utracon Sri Lanka successfully completed the construction of Iqbal Building at Zaahira College, Colombo, a six floor structure within the one-year contractual period.

Utracon's scope of work included the structural works from combined strip foundation to the roof, as well as finishing work such as blockwork, plastering, tiling and painting.

The Annual Cricket Tournament of Utracon Sri Lanka was held on 21st March 2026 at Angampitiya Cricket Ground, organized by the Utracon Welfare Association of Sri Lanka.

Cricket in Sri Lanka has a unique way of bringing people together, and this event was no exception. The tournament united staff members in a day filled with friendly competition among four teams, creating lasting memories and strengthening team spirit.
