MT Group in New York | Advancing energy resilience

MT Group is an official sponsor of the Lithuania–U.S. Presidential Energy & Resilience Forum and is participating in Lithuania’s official delegation during Climate Week NYC.

Represented by CEO Mindaugas Zakaras and CFO Vaidas Akulevičius, we joined President of the Republic of Lithuania Gitanas Nausėda and Lithuanian and U.S. business representatives for discussions on energy security, critical infrastructure protection and transatlantic cooperation.

Our team also witnessed the signing of a new 10-year LNG supply agreement between Ignitis and EQT, marking a significant development in Lithuanian–U.S. energy trade.

With EPC experience across LNG, green hydrogen, battery energy storage and carbon capture, MT Group brings practical project delivery expertise to these discussions. Our focus is on building partnerships that turn technology and investment into resilient energy infrastructure.

We thank the Consulate General of Lithuania in New York, the Baltic American Chamber of Commerce and the American Lithuanian Business Council for bringing government and business together.

| MT Group has been awarded a major contract for the implementation of Balance of Plant (BoP) infrastructure at the German LNG Terminal in Germany – one of the country’s most important energy infrastructure projects.

Developed by German LNG Terminal GmbH, the terminal is Germany’s first land-based LNG import terminal, established to strengthen the country’s long-term energy security and resilience. The project is being delivered by the Grupo Cobra (Cobra IS) / Sener consortium, with Gasunie and RWE among the key companies behind this landmark infrastructure development.

The award represents one of MT Group's largest projects in Germany to date and further strengthens company‘s position in one of Europe’s most important energy infrastructure markets.

Designed to strengthen both German and European energy security, the German LNG Terminal will have a regasification capacity of up to 10 billion cubic meters of natural gas annually.

For our Baltic audience: the scale of the project is perhaps best illustrated by comparison: the German LNG Terminal’s planned regasification capacity will be approximately three times larger than that of the Klaipėda LNG Terminal.

| MT Group ranked #3 among Lithuania’s Top Employers Nationwide

We are proud to be recognized as the 3rd best employer in Lithuania in the newly published TOP 100 Employers ranking by Scoris.

What makes this recognition particularly meaningful is its methodology. Unlike traditional employer rankings based on surveys or popularity, this evaluation is built on objective official data from Lithuania’s public institutions, including Sodra, the State Tax Inspectorate (VMI) and the Centre of Registers. The assessment considers measurable indicators such as salary levels and growth, employee stability, financial performance and tax discipline.

According to the published ranking, MT Group’s average gross salary reached €4,036 per month, increasing by 17.8% year-on-year, placing the company among Lithuania’s leading employers. The top three positions were occupied by Ignitis Gamyba, Grigeo Tissue and MT Group.

This recognition reflects something we value deeply: investing in our people while delivering some of Europe’s most complex energy infrastructure projects.

| EPC Contractor MT Group is pleased to announce the start of construction on the Raseiniai Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project, representing an investment of more than €30 million.

Once completed, the project will deliver 56 MW of power and 168 MWh of storage capacity, making it one of the largest battery energy storage facilities in Lithuania. As one of the country’s first commercial energy storage projects capable of delivering up to three hours of storage, it will play an important role in strengthening grid flexibility and reliability.

“Following Lithuania’s synchronization with Continental Europe, the development of energy storage capacities has become one of the key priorities in the energy sector. Such projects strengthen the resilience of the electricity system, increase its flexibility, and allow us to integrate growing renewable energy capacities more effectively. The more advanced storage solutions we develop, the more reliable, competitive and secure Lithuania’s energy system becomes,” says Žygimantas Vaičiunas, Minister of Energy of the Republic of Lithuania.

The battery park will be connected to the Litgrid 110 kV transmission network through the expanded Raseiniai transformer substation. The project is scheduled for completion by the end of 2026, with commercial operations expected to begin in the first half of 2027. Once operational, Raseiniai BESS will support Lithuania’s energy independence, enhance grid stability, and accelerate the integration of renewable energy from solar and wind sources.

| 5,000 Trees. 3 Hours. One Mission.

At MT Group, spring signifies more than just a change in season: it also marks our annual commitment to reforestation. For the 17th consecutive year, our team stepped away from the office to contribute to the environment, successfully planting 5,000 pine trees.

Since we are currently very with the Jauniūnai Gas Compressor Station expansion project, it was important for us to leave a lasting green footprint in the Sirvintu region. A huge thank you to the professional team at the State Forest Enterprise (Ukmergė Division) for their support, advise and guidance throughout the plating session.

Spending an afternoon in the forest is the perfect way to recharge and strengthen our team bonds while giving back to the planet. We are already looking forward to next year—our target is 15,000 trees! 🌲
