🏆 What. A. Night.
 The Luxembourg Design Awards were incredible — and I somehow came home with five awards 🤯✨

🥇 Deux lits chez Billie — Gold, Illustration 🥈 Oops, I stayed in Luxembourg — Silver, Movie/Animation (🤝 ) 🥈 Crazy Inventions — Silver, Illustration ⭐ Rotations culturelles — Jury Prize, Print ⭐ 07:00–22:00 — Jury Prize, Installation

Five projects, five completely different worlds — from a children’s book to a video campaign, to public art installations.

But they all share one thing: clients and partners who dared to play differently.
 Thank you for your trust 💛

Thanks to the jury for the recognition — and congrats to all fellow designers pushing the creative scene forward in Luxembourg 🙌

✨ 6 nominations at the Luxembourg Design Awards!

🎬 A video and a song for my adopted country
🚎A book-bus covered in drawings, created after the fire that destroyed Metz’s most beautiful bookstore
🌀 A phonotropic slipmat for my favourite place in Luxembourg
🏙️ An urban installation trying to raise funds for the homeless
🏡 A children’s book featuring a beaver architect
🎨 A mural full of absurd inventions to spark kids’ creativity
Not sure all of this makes perfect sense…
but one thing’s for sure — my weeks are never boring.

🙏 Huge thanks to the clients and partners who trusted me on these projects,
and to all the brilliant collaborators who made them real.

💛 And thanks to the jury for the love.

When I ask people why they ended up in Luxembourg, this is pretty much what they tell me.
(100% reliable statistics — see image.)

Joke aside, I came here for the money (needed a job — fast — to pay off a pretty big fine).

But I stayed for the love (met a colleague who became my wife).

Honestly, that was never the plan. But here I am, still in the Grand Duchy, years later.

🕰️ 2020–2025 : 5 ans après, Paris se souvient.

Plus personne ne parle des apéros Zoom,

des pénuries de papier toilette,

Pourtant, en 2020, nous étions “en guerre”.

Et comme l’a dit le Président :

“La nation tout entière repose sur ces femmes et ces hommes qui, en restant chez eux, ont sauvé des vies.”

🎖️ À la demande de la Ville de Paris, j’ai donc imaginé un monument commémoratif à la hauteur de leur engagement.

Un hommage, digne et solennel, au soldat anonyme, héros du canapé, armé de sa télécommande, d’un paquet de chips et de son abonnement Netflix Premium.

N’oublions jamais ces héros.

SCHUEBI ANNULÉE

Rotondes’ summer festival « Congés Annulés » wrapped up on Wednesday, just as the Schueberfouer kicks off today. To mark the occasion, here’s my series of visuals that merge these two major August events in Luxembourg.

These pieces were created for the outdoor exhibition « Les Voyeuses » at Rotondes, which has now been extended until September 8th. Don’t miss the chance to check it out!

🎡 SCHUEBI ANNULÉE 🎡
Another fun project for Rotondes:

During their summer festival « congés annulés », intriguing devices are placed in and around Rotondes’ courtyard (Parvis). Those will beckon passers-by and visitors to explore them up close and take a peek through their lenses.

These ‘voyeuses’ function as enhanced telescopes, allowing you to peer at scenes that exist just out of view – with one twist. The images you observe were captured over 60 years ago. But the ‘voyeuses’ offer more than just a window to the past; they also reveal a multitude of contemporary artistic visions in the next moment. Twelve local and international artists have been selected to enhance, challenge, subvert, or reimagine these historical photos, turning Rotondes into their playground for the summer.

“Schuebi annulée” is YO studios’ series of six visuals merging and celebrating two of Luxembourg’s major August events: the Congés Annulés festival and the Schueberfouer (or ‘Schuebi’ to the locals).

🏙️ QUARTIER MATON 🎨

This weekend, I’ll be doing a little performance at the Urban History Festival in the district of Bonnevoie in Luxembourg City. “Quartier Maton“ is a booth where you can come to answer some quirky questions about the city district you’d like to live in the future. In return, you’ll get a portrait of the district of tomorrow. I don’t guarantee the accuracy of the portrait 😅.

Join me on Saturday from 11 am to 3 pm at Place du Parc and on Sunday from 10 am to 2 pm in front of the cultural center. Come and say hi!
