What is Stencil Concrete?
Stencil concrete is a type of decorative concrete, where the concrete slab or surface is decorated by spraying a mixture of color hardener and acrylic bonding agent liquid. Before the spraying stage, a stencil pattern is installed on an existing concrete surface to incorporate stone, brick, or other elaborate designs.

Stamped concrete is the type of concrete with the durability and strength of standard quality concrete with the look and aspect of natural materials used to decorate the exterior space of homes and landscapes. The natural materials used for decoration include slate, flagstone, brick, tile, and stone.

The process of making stamped concrete are as follows:

⚡️ pouring concrete and leveling
⚡️ applying color hardener and floating
⚡️ applying release agent on the harderner surface
⚡️ stamping the concrete with molds for the desired pattern
⚡️ rinsing off the excess release agent powder
⚡️ the concrete is left to cure for 24 to 48 hours
⚡️ after the concrete has been cured for the required duration an acrylic concrete sealer can be applied to the stamped concrete surface
⚡️ finally, the concrete has to be prevented from any human traffic (to avoid being stepped on) and contact with any sort of moisture and external material.

(The Process)
Stecil concrete is done by mixing the uv resistant color hardener mixed with a white-ish bonding agent liquid and sprayed with a compressor gun on the stencil paper pattern. After a few hours the stencil concrete will harden and when the stencil concrete has completely cured, a sealer can be applied to the surface and it will be more durable and more beautiful than plain old concrete.

✒️. as long as the surface is protected by a sealer

✒️. most acid stains are a mixture of water, hydrochloric acid and acid-soluble metallic salts

✒️. They work by penetrating the surface and reacting chemically with the hydrated lime (calcium hydroxide) in the concrete

There are two types of acid stains:

📌 solvent-based &

📌 water-based

Both stains have their advantages and disadvantages, depending on the applications and artistic effects you are striving for.
