What a great event! Thank you to the whole team at StartinMalta that made that happen, and also, thank you for the invitation. I met some great people, and the event is a testament that women in business, and as entrepreneurs, we keep growing, we keep setting our mark, we keep voicing our opinions and we keep reaching new heights! 🙌🏻
In this photo I was explaining my thoughts to the question “you’ve gone viral, the demand for your services has grown exponentially, what do you do?” And this is what came to me on the fly:
1. Identify the Main Challenges:
The first challenge I’d face is scaling my team quickly without compromising on quality. Anyone who has followed my journey knows that I’m very intentional about who I work with, it’s not just about skills, but character, attitude, and alignment with the brand’s values. I’d need systems in place for fast but effective recruitment. How do you do that quick? Tough one. So maybe tapping into my trusted network, outsourcing with the right partnerships until I can find the right team. Oh! and being clear on non-negotiables (this last part I added now)
2. Maintain Brand Integrity and Quality:
Going viral often pressures businesses to dilute what makes them unique. For me, staying true to the brand, being reliable, trustworthy, keeping good values, and quality standards, these take years to build and a whole lot of work to maintain. So the question beckons, can I grow and move fast without losing trust?
3. I actually asked the question - Is Bigger Always Better?:
Virality brings attention, but not all attention is good attention right? ATA Studio are not a one-size-fits-all brand, so I’d have to implement ways to filter or segment demand. Growth should be right, not just just rapid.
But hey! We all know the hard work that goes into finding the right leads 😅😁 so ride the viral wave and see where it takes you! A good lead does feel good when you land the right ones, doesn’t it?
I didn’t mentioned these points but now that I sit and reflect on it I think these are equally important:
4. Build Systems that Scale:
To handle exponential demand, I’d invest in scalable infrastructure, like better tech tools, automate some processes, and partnerships that allow us to handle volume without burnout. Stress on burnout.
5. Protect Culture & Vision:
Locally, the brand Angie the Architect has come to stand for good quality design - built on honesty, pride in our work, and a real love for what we do. If you’ve worked with us, you know that we’re happy at work, and that matters. We take the time to research, to design with intention, and just as importantly, to take time off. That balance fuels us, and it’s why we’re able to keep producing great project after great project. New ideas, fresh thinking, and concepts that push boundaries. Keeping that energy and standard alive for over a decade has genuinely been one of the joys of my career so far.
