Last Saturday, the team at Forward Architects and Openworkstudio were recognised for their collaborative efforts on the Cisk Tap + Grist. This was a project that celebrated a heritage destination through sensitive contemporary design interventions that seek to contribute to Cisk’s legacy. We are pleased to have received the MASP Award for Interiors for Commercial Space, a category abundant with high quality submissions from our colleagues in the industry.

The studio is currently looking for an ARCHITECT to join our office.

The ideal candidate should have a Master's degree (or equivalent professional degree) in architecture with a minimum of 2 years working experience. We are looking for a person competent in completing high quality conceptual and technical work, both independently and in a team within a tight time frame, has an eye for detail and exceptional design and presentation skills. An excellent command of AutoCAD is required. Other skills will be considered an asset.

Forward Architects - Our Narrative

Back in 2011, Christopher Micallef and Michael Pace joined forces to found Forward Architects. The simplicity of the chosen name encapsulates our raison d’etre: Forward is a natural home for individuals look to the future and exploit it; who seek to express themselves through design and whose work continuously strives to be relevant and contemporary and of the highest possible standard. All projects result from a sensitive approach to aesthetics and place, and a concern for environmental, social and economic aspects.

The team has now grown to over 20 like-minded, dynamic individuals, each bringing their own distinctive language to every project we undertake. Naturally, as the team expands, so does our focus and portfolio – from new build private homes and offices, to historic conversions, museums and hotels, we have been entrusted with projects that have built the narrative we now hold.
