👷♂️ About the Role:
We are currently looking for an experienced and reliable Steel Fixer to join our construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for cutting, bending, placing, and securing steel reinforcement bars and mesh used in concrete structures. If you have a keen eye for detail and enjoy working in a dynamic construction environment, this is the role for you.
🔧 Key Responsibilities:
• Read and interpret structural drawings and bar bending schedules
• Cut, bend, and fix rebar (steel reinforcement) according to specifications
• Assemble reinforcement cages and support systems for concrete pours
• Tie rebar using wire, pliers, or automatic tools
• Work closely with shutterers and site supervisors to ensure correct placement
• Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
✅ Requirements:
• Strong knowledge of rebar techniques and concrete reinforcement standards
• Ability to read and work from technical drawings and BBS
• Skilled in the use of tools for cutting and tying steel
• Physically fit and able to work in various site conditions
• Attention to detail and commitment to precision
• Team player with strong communication skills
• Basic knowledge of safety procedures and regulations on site
• Fluency in English (spoken and written) is required
• Fluency in Maltese is a strong advantage
