while working on a few other smaller areas like crafting doors and working on domestic roofing projects. Ibrahim Rasheed joined the business in the late 1970s and the two brothers, Abdul Rasheed and Ibrahim Rasheed, with their visionary instincts of the demand for construction services in the Maldives, took the strategic decision to expand the services offered by the business.In 1980, Rasheed Carpentry was registered as a local investment and in 1989 the local investment was registered as Rasheed Carpentry Pvt. Ltd undertook construction and related works and quite soon, this area of business turned out to be the core of the business, especially in terms of generating revenue. In order to reflect this strength in the business name, the name of the business was changed to Rasheed Carpentry and Construction Pvt Ltd in 2004 and the business established their corporate office at M. Abdul Rasheed and Ibrahim Rasheed, founder members of RCnC Pvt Ltd, laid a strong foundation for a diversified general constructing firm, distinguished by years of hands-on building experience. Since its founding, RCnC Pvt Ltd has experienced and sustained a steady growth, reaching a turnover of Rufiyaa 80 million by the end of 2010 compared to Rufiyaa 3 million in 2005. The increase was also reflected in the staff numbers which moved from 60 to 341 in the five years. The company currently has over 370 staff. In 2015 company rebranded its identity to RCC, making it convenient and more effective.
