It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our dear colleague, Davie Kumpama, who left us early this morning. Davie was not only a valued member of our staff but also a cherished friend whose kindness and dedication touched many lives.

He will be laid to rest at his home village in Liwonde.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time.

In recognition of the inspiring civic efforts led by our Mayor in cleaning the streets of Limbe, Phalombe Hardware — a proud part of this community since 1999 — is pleased to contribute in a small but meaningful way to this important campaign.

To support the hardworking teams keeping our city clean, we are donating:

🌿 A Moment of Pride for Limbe

Today our hearts felt light and genuinely happy.
Our Mayor was personally out on the streets of Limbe, cleaning alongside the workers, shoulder-to-shoulder with the very people who keep our city alive.

Leadership is not shown in speeches or ceremonies — it is revealed in small, powerful moments like this.
A mayor with a broom in hand sends a message stronger than any manifesto:

“I serve you. I work with you. No task is beneath me.”

Such acts restore faith, unite communities, and remind us that dignity begins at ground level.

Limbe shines a little brighter today — not because the streets are cleaner,
but because leadership humbled itself to serve.
