👋 Meet the Inspector Behind CHM Home Inspections Los Cabos
My name is **Brody Peck**, founder and lead inspector of **CHM Home Inspections Los Cabos**.
People often ask what makes our inspections different. The answer isn't just the tools we use—it's the journey that brought me here.
My career began in the construction industry as a carpenter, where I learned firsthand that what's hidden behind the walls is just as important as what you can see. Through years of hard work, I advanced to a foreman position on several major commercial construction projects, including **Planet Hollywood at Disney Springs, STK Orlando, Paradiso 37 at Disney Springs, and Volcano Bay at Universal Orlando Resort.** Those projects demanded precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to building things the right way.
In 2017, I decided to take my passion for construction and building science in a new direction. After graduating from professional home inspection school, passing my Florida state licensing examinations, and earning my **State of Florida Home Inspector License**, I turned down opportunities to work for some of the largest inspection companies in the state because I believed I could build something different—a company focused entirely on protecting the client.
Over the next several years, I worked tirelessly to build my reputation one inspection at a time. I had the privilege of helping thousands of families make informed decisions, uncovering serious defects before homes were purchased, preventing buyers from making costly mistakes, and in some cases identifying conditions that could have resulted in fires, structural failures, or significant safety hazards if left undiscovered.
As my experience grew, so did my passion for understanding every aspect of residential construction. I dedicated hundreds of hours to studying the Florida Building Code, national standards, and continuing education, which led me into **new construction phase inspections**.
I had the opportunity to work alongside many of the nation's largest home builders, including **Toll Brothers, Lennar, Pulte Group, DR Horton, Taylor Morrison, Mattamy Homes, KB Home, and M/I Homes.** Representing the homebuyer, I inspected homes throughout every phase of construction—from foundation and structural framing to roofing, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, insulation, and final finishes—ensuring they were built in accordance with applicable building codes and industry standards before my clients closed on their new homes.
Today, I am proud to say that as a **single inspector**, I have personally completed **more than 7,000 professional home inspections** throughout my career.
But I didn't stop there.
Recognizing the growing need for qualified moisture and mold professionals, I returned to school to further my education in water damage, mold assessment, and mold remediation. I completed advanced training through the **American Mold & Moisture Association (AMMA)**, where I studied under experienced environmental scientists and expanded my knowledge of building science, moisture intrusion, microbial contamination, and proper remediation techniques.
I then successfully passed both Florida state licensing examinations and became a **State Licensed Mold Assessor** and **State Licensed Mold Remediation Contractor**.
Since then, I have completed **nearly 1,000 mold inspections and remediation projects**, helping homeowners, real estate professionals, contractors, and property managers identify moisture problems, develop effective remediation plans, and restore healthy indoor environments using recognized industry standards.
Every inspection I perform is backed by years of hands-on construction experience, thousands of inspections, extensive code knowledge, and a commitment to continuing education.
