Stone Barn Meditation Camp

Revisiting a project we designed almost ten years ago for the 2017 Bee Breeders competition in Latvia.
REBORN explored the relationship between Baltic vernacular architecture, landscape, and a retreat dedicated to stillness and contemplation.
The project sought to create an authentic and peaceful environment where visitors could slow down and reconnect with themselves and their surroundings.
Looking back at it today, some of the questions explored in this project still feel very close to the way I think about architecture.
This was also a reminder of how much can emerge from collaboration.
A competition, a small lab for design experiments with friends, and the freedom to explore an idea from different points of view, without knowing where it would lead.
Looking forward to more collaborations in the future!
