Here’s how we ended the week on our rooftop pool project! 🏗️💦

Building a pool on top of a condominium constructed nearly 20 years ago comes with some unique engineering challenges.

Scroll through the photos to see the specialized rebar connector joints we imported from South Korea. This relatively new technology allows us to securely tie the new structure into the existing building—making a project like this possible.

We do not anticipate the homeowner having significant electricity costs from CFE going forward, thanks to the 30 high-efficiency 770 W solar panels installed on the roof during Phase One of our multi-year renovation project. The array is mounted on a custom-engineered steel support structure that is fully integrated into the roof, providing long-term durability while optimizing the panels’ orientation and performance. Plastic shower? Well not exactly it’s an engineered polymer (high performance plastic) for the visible parts. Apparently it helps with not showing rust and water spots, which are very common here in Puerto Vallarta. What are your thoughts? & let us know if you have one of these showers…

We have been getting a lot of DM‘s about how we get to the top of the tree. See video two to see the access point. You definitely get your cardio in for the day when coming to the top.

As we are close to finishing the exterior façade, we thought we would share some photos of how it looked when we first saw it. It was originally a single-family home with an empty lot next to it. That lot became a Sanctuary for many cats and dogs as well as premium guest suites occupying the top two floors. The new main house is currently getting a complete premium overhaul (down to the piping). The two properties are connected by a Sky bridge. We truly feel this would be one of the more unique residences in Puerto Vallarta once it is complete.
