🌵 Turning an non-appealing house into a bed-and-breakfast in La Paz.

When a good friend reached out to remodel their home in La Paz, Baja California, they had a clear dream:
To turn it into a quiet, welcoming bed and breakfast with 6 simple rooms—nothing flashy, just a space where people could feel peace.

We worked with the bones of the house—kept what felt true, opened up what felt heavy.
Natural light, calm colors, local textures, soft shadows.

🏡 Maximizing Space, Creating Value

This apartment building sits on a footprint of just 7 x 11 meters (that’s around 23 x 36 feet), but it includes three fully independent living spaces:
• A basement-level studio
• A ground-floor apartment
• A second-story apartment with views

The design allows for rental income from a compact, efficient structure—leaving the rest of the lot open for garden space, parking, or future projects.

Every square meter was designed to count. High ceilings, natural light, and flexible layouts make the interiors feel much larger than their footprint suggests.

Before any construction begins, it starts here—with pencil on paper and a clear intention.

These sketches explore the flow of space, how natural light enters, how a terrace frames a view, or how a garden becomes part of daily life.

I use hand drawings and concept studies to think through how people will live in the spaces—how it will feel to walk barefoot through a shaded patio, or drink coffee facing the morning light.

Architecture is more than walls and roofs—it’s a way of shaping life.
