The visual flow transitions effortlessly into the culinary zone, where a magnificent, heavily veined marble island commands attention. The walls are meticulously wrapped in pristine white wainscoting, providing a classically tailored backdrop that visually expands the room's proportions and adds layers of architectural depth.

For this design and build, we focused on contrast and compression. Against the raw, aged textures of the existing shophouse corridor, the insertion is clean, deliberate, and contemporary.

Rooted in this project, we moved away from the rigidity of sharp corners, embracing organic silhouettes and fluid lines to guide the eye through the space. The palette is strictly tone on tone, layers of oatmeal, cream, and travertine to create a tactile warmth that feels both expansive and intimate.
