Assalamualaikum. Saya serta warga Nadi Aman Utara Enterprise amat berdukacita mendengar pemergian sahabat kami, Allahyarham Suly Shaidin . The “Disk Exception” message on your Hikvision DVR usually means the recorder cannot communicate properly with the hard drive — even if the HDD is new.
Since you already:
formatted the HDD
replaced with a new HDD
then the problem is likely one of these:
HDD not initialized correctly
Go to:
Main Menu → Storage → HDD Management
Check status
If it shows:
Uninitialized → click “Init”
Abnormal/Error → continue below
SATA cable or power cable problem
Inside the DVR:
Disconnect and reconnect SATA cable
Check HDD power connector
Try another SATA cable if available
Wrong HDD type
Some DVRs reject desktop HDDs. Use surveillance HDD:
Western Digital Purple
Seagate SkyHawk
DVR power supply weak
Very common issue.
A weak adapter powers cameras but not HDD correctly.
Check DVR adapter:
usually 12V DC
replace with same voltage and correct amp rating
DVR motherboard/SATA port fault
If:
multiple HDDs show same error
cables are OK
power adapter OK
then DVR SATA controller may be damaged.
Try this:
Remove HDD completely
Restart DVR
Install HDD again after boot
Reinitialize disk
Also check: Menu → Maintenance → Log Information
See if it says:
HDD not detected
HDD error
No disk
Disk offline
Your screenshot strongly suggests a hardware communication issue between DVR and HDD, not just formatting.
