A zoom in at the corners that quietly co-exist in our space and routine, presence we thought are necessary yet almost always forgotten, importance inexplicable yet almost always ignored.

The warmth of brick against the raw honesty of concrete block, fair-faced concrete, and structural steel — intertwined and woven with each other, seemingly interconnected to welcome light and air in into the place.

We feel that it is in these silent, meticulous details that a space finds its soul.

Designed as three distinct volumes—House 1, House 2, and a Central pavilion—this estate is designed to create a quiet sanctuary for a multi generational family, and yet to welcome friends when needed.

Spread across an acre of lush hill slope, every floor is terraced to offer different level of experience.

Our intervention into this house started taking shape when we saw the need to bring more light and air (perhaps some green too) into it. Floors and roof were cut to make way for the elements to sip in, in the hope for the making of a naturally articulated place for a family to grow.

We kept the scars to live for itself to juxtapose the white plasters and coatings as a record of what was in its new chapter.
