🍳🔥 One mistake turns a small kitchen fire into a disaster: throwing water on burning oil.

Water instantly turns to steam and can send burning oil flying — spreading the fire and causing serious burns. Cooking-oil fires are one of the most common fire risks in cafes, restaurants and canteens.

Here's what to do instead:
🚫 Turn off the heat source
🧯 Smother the flames — a lid or a fire blanket cuts off the oxygen
✅ For premises, keep a Class F (wet chemical) extinguisher — it's designed for cooking oils

📌 Save and share this with anyone who runs a kitchen.

📋 Passing your BOMBA inspection isn't luck — it's preparation.

Businesses often get caught out by the same avoidable issues. Here are three of the most common:

1️⃣ Fire extinguishers that are expired or overdue for servicing
2️⃣ Escape routes and exits that are blocked, locked, or poorly marked
3️⃣ Fire alarms/detection that are faulty or have never been tested

The reassuring part? Every one of these is fixable — usually well before it becomes a problem.

📌 Save this post, and if you've got an inspection coming up, let us do a pre-inspection check so there are no surprises. 👉 Message us.

(For the specific requirements for your building, we'll always guide you to confirm with BOMBA or a registered fire engineer.)

🇲🇾 Merdeka month is here — a time to reflect on how far we've come.

You've worked hard to build your business. So this month, here's a question worth asking: is what you've built properly protected?

Fire safety is one of the most overlooked — and most important — ways to safeguard your people, your premises and everything you've grown. Whether it's an overdue extinguisher service, a fire alarm check, or getting compliant with BOMBA, it's never a bad time to make your building safer.

From all of us at Fire Infinity — Selamat Menyambut Bulan Merdeka. 🎉

⚡ QUICK QUIZ — test yourself 🔥

An electrical fire breaks out in your office. Which do you reach for?

A) A bucket of water 💧
B) A CO₂ or dry powder extinguisher 🧯

Drop your answer in the comments 👇

(Here's the big one to remember: NEVER use water on an electrical fire — water conducts electricity and can turn a small fire into a serious injury. CO₂ and dry powder are made for this.)

Using the wrong extinguisher is one of the most common — and most dangerous — mistakes. Make sure your building has the RIGHT types for its risks.

⚠️ The most dangerous fire equipment is the kind everyone assumes is working.

An extinguisher that's years overdue for servicing. A fire alarm no one has tested. A hose reel that's seized from disuse. On the wall they look fine — but in an emergency, they can let you down completely.

That's why maintenance matters as much as installation. Fire Infinity services and inspects fire extinguishers, alarms, hydrants and hose reels — keeping everything functional and inspection-ready all year round.

Don't wait for an inspection (or an emergency) to find out something isn't working. 👉 Message us to schedule a service.

🚒 In a fire, seconds decide everything — and firefighting water needs to be right where it's needed, instantly.

That's the job of fire hydrants, hose reels and sprinkler systems. But here's the catch: these systems only save you if they're maintained. Corroded valves, low pressure, or a hose reel that hasn't been serviced can fail at the worst possible moment.

Fire Infinity designs, installs AND services these systems — so they're ready 24/7, not just on paper.

When was your system last properly checked? If you're not sure, that's the answer. 👉 Message us for a service check.

🧯 Could you use a fire extinguisher correctly under pressure? Most people can't — until they've learned this.

Remember P.A.S.S:

👉 P — PULL the pin
👉 A — AIM at the base of the fire (not the flames)
👉 S — SQUEEZE the handle
👉 S — SWEEP from side to side

Aim at the base — that's where the fuel is. And always keep an exit behind you.

📌 Save this post and share it with your team. In an emergency, knowing this could save a life.

📩 Received a BOMBA notice? Don't leave it in the drawer.

Under the Fire Services Act 1988, many 'designated premises' in Malaysia — commercial, industrial and public buildings — are required to hold a valid Fire Certificate (Perakuan Bomba), renewed annually.

Falling out of compliance can put your operations (and your people) at risk. The good news: you don't have to navigate it alone.

Fire Infinity manages the full process for you — inspection, documentation, and submission to BOMBA — so your business stays compliant and keeps running.

Not sure if your building needs one? Message us and we'll point you in the right direction. For specifics, we'll always guide you to confirm with BOMBA or a registered fire engineer.
