Some pools are added to a home.
Others are designed as part of it.

This project began with a bold architectural idea - a custom adult pool positioned beside a sunken seating area, with a transparent pool wall creating a floating-water effect from the lower living space.

Beautiful on the surface. But making it work required much more beneath it.

The pool called for a custom multi-zone geometry, an overall width beyond the practical limits of conventional one-piece delivery, a kids pool, integrated steps, spa features and a large acrylic viewing panel.

That is why we turned to Hydro One® FUSION.

Instead of transporting the completed pool as one oversized shell, the composite structure was prefabricated in carefully designed sections, delivered to site, positioned and structurally fused into its final form.

The transparent wall demanded another level of precision. Its supporting recess had to be correctly designed and fabricated to hold the panel securely.
The acrylic-to-pool interface had to remain watertight.
Panel thickness had to safely accommodate water pressure. And the panel itself had to provide long-term clarity and outdoor durability.

Then came another misconception we wanted this project to challenge:
Prefabricated doesn’t mean standard.
Composite doesn’t mean untiled.

This Hydro One® FUSION pool is finished in TERRA HJ86807 stone-look porcelain tiles - giving it the premium appearance and underfoot experience of a beautifully tiled pool while retaining a prefabricated composite pool structure at its core.

The final result?
A pool that follows the architecture.
A transparent wall that turns water into part of the living space.
And a custom design realised without being confined to a conventional one-piece shell.

Yesterday, we showed you a swimming pool in the air.
Today, here’s the story behind it.

At D’IMMERSIONE @ Mont Kiara, our Hydro One® Maldives pool had one unusual destination:
Level 4.

The pool was already substantially completed at our factory before it reached site.
Then came installation day.

8:00 AM - we started.
12:00 noon - the tower crane had to come down.

Four hours.

One tower crane.
One 8m x 4m pool.
And no room for delay.

From factory floor...
to ground level...
to four floors above.

And finally - it was in.
For us, this was more than just another installation.

It was one of those moments where planning, production and teamwork came together exactly when it mattered most.

Something that began on drawings had finally become part of the building.
