Implementing ๐ƒ๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐ซ๐ข๐›๐ฎ๐ญ๐ž๐ ๐„๐ง๐ž๐ซ๐ ๐ฒ ๐‘๐ž๐ฌ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ๐œ๐ž๐ฌ (๐ƒ๐„๐‘) is one method of electrifying a place. An alternative or extension to a conventional power grid is provided by a DER, which is a source of electricity close to the point of usage.

๐๐ž๐ฌ๐ญ๐ž๐œ๐ก ๐„๐ง๐ž๐ซ๐ ๐ฒ was proud to be involved in the implementation of DER in Kampung Orang Asli Batu 23, Tapah, Perak. They were deployed in two phases, and they were as follows:

The rural electrification project by Pestech Energy is working to expand access to electricity so that families have the resources they need to raise their quality of life. Our most recent project was at Kampung Orang Asli Batu 23, Tapah, Perak.

Approximately 100 individuals with an average electrical usage of around 2kwh per house benefited from a total of 15 out of 20 dwellings receiving electricity, each of which is now equipped with 3 lamp points and 2 plug points. After more than 20 years without power, Pestech Energy has successfully brought energy to this community with the completion of this project.

Did you know that in over a year, one EV on the road can save an average of 1.5 million grams of CO2? This equates to four round-trip flights from London to Barcelona!

Emissions from ICE vehicles are not only harmful to the environment but are also hazardous to human health. Asthma, bronchitis, cancer, and early mortality are all caused by air pollution from petrol/diesel-powered automobiles.

The big advantage of electric vehicles is that they can contribute to improving the air quality of the city. Without exhaust pipes, a pure electric vehicle does not emit carbon dioxide when driving. This will produce cleaner streets and make cities friendly for pedestrians. Eventually, this will significantly reduce air pollution.

In Malaysia, the lack of EV charging infrastructure could be preventing many people from switching to EVs. The 2022 budget announcement to abolish all EV taxes shows the government's seriousness in accelerating EV adoption and EV infrastructure development.

Incentives provided by the government will be a catalyst, but it is up to us to take up their Call to Action.

According to the Australian Electric Vehicle Council, powering electric vehicles is about 70% cheaper than internal combustion engine vehicles powered by petrol/diesel, saving EV drivers an average of $1,600 a year in fuel costs. Residentials with solar panels at home can effectively reduce the powering cost of EV to zero.

Maybank Investment Bank Bhd (Maybank IB) predicts that electric vehicles will outpace internal combustion engine vehicles (ICEVs) in the ASEAN region by 2035 and that pe*******on into the EV market will increase 5%-20% by 2025.

Currently, there are about 500 AC charging stations and 9 DC charging stations in Malaysia with another 10 in development. Compare to our neighbouring countries like Thailand & Singapore, they are much more prepared for EV adoption as Thailand has 3 times the number of AC charging stations and a staggering 85 times the number of DC charging stations. Because of that, it has significantly increased Thai car users' enthusiasm for switching to EVs.

To boost the number of EV users, Malaysia has to enhance its EV charging infrastructure. Pestech Energy delivers charging infrastructure that is easily accessible, safe, and functional.
