Bridging the gap between the lecture hall and the real world.

On 18 August, VERITAS and Universiti Malaya (UM) officially exchanged the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at Mercu Alam Bina. We were incredibly proud to have David M. Hashim, Group President of VERITAS, and Lillian Tay, Group Vice-President, represent our team alongside esteemed UM representatives: Professor Ir. Dr. Kaharudin Dimyati, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research & Innovation) of Universiti Malaya, and YBhg. Datuk Assoc. Professor Ts. Dr. Zulkiflee Abdul Samad.

Partnering with the Department of Architecture, this collaboration successfully connected architectural education with real-world professional practice. Our team committed to working closely with UM students and staff to support their development through design juries, internships, joint workshops, and industry talks.

A milestone in protecting Malaysia's wildlife.

RIMAU was presented with the Gamuda Inspiration Award at Zepp Kuala Lumpur, on 18 August. VERITAS Group President and RIMAU Deputy President, David M. Hashim, proudly received the award together with RIMAU President, Lara Ariffin.

VERITAS is proud to be a major contributor and dedicated supporter of RIMAU’s ongoing conservation activities. Since 2018, the organization has been fighting to save the Malayan tiger. With fewer than 150 left in the wild, their anti-poaching efforts and community partnerships are more critical than ever. We are deeply committed to backing this cause and helping protect Malaysia's wildlife.

VERITAS Group-represented by our principal Edward Chew, has joined the commemoration and celebration of two years at site and Trees Planting Ceremony, at Jotun Shah Alam on 17 August 2026.

The event commemorated two years of on-site collaboration between Jotun, Aurecon, Shimizu Corporation, and VERITAS since August 2024. To mark this milestone, project partners gathered for a tree planting ceremony, reinforcing our joint commitment to green design and sustainable development.

On 14 August 2026, VERITAS Group President David M. Hashim and Saibal D. Chowdhury, Principal of VERITAS Twinworks, signed the Joint Venture Agreement between VERITAS Architects Sdn Bhd and Twinworks Sdn Bhd at VERITAS HQ.

Another milestone for the ECRL. 🚆

The East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) has reached 95.08% overall progress, with testing and commissioning now underway as the project moves towards commercial operations in January 2027.

On 12 August , VERITAS Group President David Mizan Hashim joined fellow business leaders at “Navigating Middle East Crisis: Leveraging on Opportunities in the UAE” at The St. Regis Kuala Lumpur.

As a panellist for “Business Leaders Perspective – Growing Amidst Uncertainties,” David shared his perspective on navigating changing market conditions, building resilience and identifying opportunities for growth in the UAE.
