We are stoked to have played our part in bringing the new and exciting Goreangab Mall on the western outskirts of Windhoek to life.

Under the supervision of our mechanical engineer Frikkie le Grange, we were tasked with the HVAC installation of nine of the line shops that has taken residency in the mall.

The project has been completed in time and to the satisfaction of the all of the relevant parties involved.

Final completion included:
✅ 10 x Daikin FDA250A ducted units
✅ 4 x Daikin FBA100A ducted units
✅ 2 x Daikin FBA71A9 ducted units
✅ 1 x Daikin FCAG100B cassette unit

Another project done and dusted.

This time, we were tasked by a private client with the design, supply and installation of AC units, fresh air and extraction on two floors for the East Tower at the 4@Steps development in Kleine Kuppe.

With the assistance of our partners at Starke Manufacturing and Airconditioning cc, plans were drawn up, approved and professionally implemented and executed thanks to our outstanding team on side.

Final installation includes:
✅ 4 x Daikin VRV VI Loop outdoor units (heat recovery) powering a total of 36 indoor units on two floors;
✅ 2 x dedicated Daikin single split units for the server room;
✅ Fresh air and extraction ducting throughout.

A big thank you to the client for entrusting this project to us from start to finish. Many thanks also to all the other contractors involved for a smooth and hassle-free working environment.

We’re excited to share that we’ve successfully completed our scope of works for the Mega Centre revamp in Windhoek.

Renovation projects often come with their own challenges, but our team delivered all required installations on time and to the high standard our clients have come to expect.

Our primary scope included cooling a warehouse of over 3,400 m² for a major Namibian pharmaceutical company. We also installed air conditioning for all offices, three cold rooms, and handled both fresh-air supply and extraction.

Furthermore, we reinstalled two evaporative coolers with additional ducting, and completed the installation and commissioning of smoke-ventilation systems throughout the building.

In addition, we were responsible for installing air-conditioning systems for several line shops that will form part of the new shopping experience at Mega Centre.

Final installation included:
✅ 3 x Daikin Mini VRV systems, powering 23 indoor units
✅ 10 x New split unit installations of various capacities
✅ 15 x Reuse and reinstallation of existing split units
✅ 3 x Installation of new cold rooms
✅ 7 Installation of smoke fans, 6 of which we reused. Additionally, the installation of a new smoke board.
✅ Installation of fresh air and extraction systems throughout the building
✅ Reuse and reinstallation of two evap coolers with new and additional ducting

We are super proud to have played our part in helping Model Namibia to bring their new flagship shop at the Auas Valley Shopping Mall to life.

Over the last few months, our teams have been hard at work to make sure, that all clients have the most pleasant shopping experience possible.

Under the watchful eye of the engineering team from SCE Consulting Engineers, we were tasked with the installation of the following:

✅ 7 x Samsung DVMs II outdoor units, powering a total of
✅ 29 Samsung DVM 360 indoor cassette units
✅ All DVM's system wired to run over one centralised controller
✅ 6 x Samsung split units of various capacities
✅ A multitude of fresh air and extraction runs through the shop
✅ 6 x extraction canopies and their respective ducting for the kitchens, the biggest measuring 7000x2300
✅ Alterations and re-installation of smoke fans and dampers

We would like to thank Model and the entire O&L Group for once again putting their trust in us.

A few pictures depicting our progress at the alterations currently under at Mega Centre in Windhoek. About half of the total area is being altered for a big pharmaceutical company, while the rest is set out to accommodate a couple of new line shops that will tie in with the existing mall.

Our scope includes air conditioning, ventilation and smoke extraction - designed and supervised by FLG Consulting Engineer.

We have just returned from a freezer room installation at the luxury Gmundner Lodge to the east of Windhoek and the results are outstanding.

This had not been a straight forward installation by any means. The client could only provide us with single phase electricity, but the freezer room unit required three phase electricity as the client requested 600kg of meat to be pulled down to -20° in 48 hours. After a few calls, the highly capable team of TruTec took on the challenge and started building a custom-made, single to 3-phase converter board utilising transformers, rectifiers, capacitors and VSD’s.

Our team then got to work to have our controls added to the board to power the massive DynaBase condensing and 400mm blower coils, both supplied by Metraclark.

In addition, the client further requested us to install stainless steel shelving on his behalf. Build and supplied by Starke Manufacturing and Airconditioning cc, the shelves (1000x500/1500mm high) were added – giving the client ample space for storage.

Many thanks to the client for putting their trust in us. A big thank you also to our team, who worked tirelessly to get the freezer room set-up and running.

Towards the end of last and beginning of this year we were tasked with two tricky revamps in Windhoek.

Starting off with the headquarters of car rental giants Asco Car Hire, the client instructed us to replace an old existing evap cooler installation with DX units. For the open plan office area, we opted for Daikin’s trusted Sky Air Series, installing five 10kW inverter ceilings cassettes, which blended in perfectly with the existing ceiling services – as is depicted in the pictures.
For the smaller offices, we decided to go with Daikin’s new GTHT high wall range in various capacities.

Moving on, we replaced seven exiting Gree split units at Nashua Namibia. Through the installation of four 7.1kW ceiling cassettes and three 14kW one-way cassette units, a new breath of fresh – and cold – air now blows through the offices.
