The Egwi-Afara-Mbah Road reconstruction project in the Etche Local Government Area of Rivers State was officially commissioned on August 18th, 2026. The project, awarded by the Rivers State Government in the year 2024, was attended by dignitaries including His Excellency, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, and his deputy, Madam Ngozi Ordu.
Engr. Patrick Izevbekhai, who represented the Managing Director, expressed appreciation for the Government’s trust and confidence in the company. He also highlighted that the 12.1km road includes about 8.785km of drainage infrastructure aimed at promoting effective erosion control and enhancing the durability of the road.
The Governor, on his part, expressed delight at the successful completion of the project and commended all stakeholders who contributed to its delivery. The completion of this road project, carried out according to specifications, will improve connectivity in the region. It will have a lasting positive impact on the Etche community, benefiting the residents by enhancing transportation and access to essential services.
