Is not a bad idea as client to compare QOUTATION before commencing on ur project. But as u do, pls try ur best to know exactly what u need and do us a favour as well, save us we contractors from unnecessary expenses and waste of time. How can a client go through ur company profile and see all ur detailed projects and got impressed and loved you to do his project and gave u a call. After giving QOUTs, they still have queue of more than five quotes to compare with urs. Their problem is not the price u gave for ur labor but they are comparing quotes of materials from the different contractors, despite u are not even qouting for labor and materials, they are the one to buy materials by themselves. For instance, I gave u a quote of 150 bags of cement for ur project and another person gave u 100 bags, u will see him go after the guy that gave him 100 bags and fall at the trick the guy used for him. At the end the 100 bags won’t do the job, he will still get the extra 50 bags for him to complete the job and fall victim of bad job because u weren’t interested in good job but focused on cheap labour and low QOUTATIONs. Oga if ur compound go chop 50 bags na 50 e go chop, contractor that gave u 30 can’t do miracle. He played a game of psychology on u to win the job, just try ask same contractor to deliver the same project on labour and materials based on the qout he gave, come see his run pass that of Usain Bolt.
So in essence, I don’t bypass or substitute materials to win job,
The three components of increte materials are color hardners, release agent and concrete seal. You then fell for a guy that gave ur qout of pigment in place of color hardners cause he knows it will be very cheaper for u and u will love it. Pls not tomorrow now you will come and be asking me is ur own increte floor different from this one they did for me that got deteriorated in less than 6 months.
This floor you seeing here is not yet polished and the color doesn’t wash away when we were washing it, if you expect me to do ur job with pigment in place of colour hardners, count me out, I don’t need what drags my credibility on the mud tomorrow.
If you really want me to do ur job, our most serious concern should be on what I can offer and my price for executing the project which I know will definitely work for us. But if you really a vast host of contractors, pls give it out to that guy ur mind wants u to give the job instead of reluctantly calling me to go check a job u well know you have someone in mind to give the job to. After I have wasted my time and resources
