On this historic occasion of our dear Nation's 66th Independence Anniversary, on behalf of the Supreme & command ruling Council, bring you warm felicitations. Happy Independence Day!

*. APPRECIATION FOR YOUR COMMITMENT*

Today, we are not just celebrating Nigeria at 66, we are celebrating the spirit of volunteerism that you all embody. In this season of national celebration, I want to sincerely thank you.

Thank you for your sacrifice, your time, your discipline and your loyalty to the ideals of the Cadet Initiative of Nigeria, Osun State commands

As a voluntary youth organization, nobody pays us, but you still stand. You still show up. You still serve. That alone makes you a true patriot.

I want to specially appreciate every command - State, Regional and Area Commands - for your active participation in the Independence Day program.

From the parade, to the community service, to the sensitization and your orderly conduct. You made Osun State Command proud. You represented us with dignity, discipline and excellence. I am proud of you all.

Your turnout and coordination have shown that Osun Cadeti is not just participating, we are leading.

My officers, I know it is not easy. Combining school, work, family and still serving voluntarily is a great sacrifice.

But I charge you today: *Do not relent.*

Do not get tired of doing good. Nigeria needs disciplined youths like you now more than ever. Our nation needs your character, your integrity and your service to reshape the future.

Let us remain united. Let us remain disciplined. Let us continue to uphold the Constitution of our organization and the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

1. The General Commander-in-Council, on behalf of the National Headquarters and the entire CADET INITIATIVE (CADETI) family, extends warm greetings to all Cadets, Commanders, Officers, volunteers, partners and members of the Initiative as we welcome the month of October.

2. This month also marks the 66th Anniversary of Nigeria's Independence, a significant occasion that reminds us of our shared identity, responsibility and collective contribution to the development of our nation.

3. As an organisation committed to Youth Leadership, Community Service, Public Safety and Global Impact, CADETI recognises that the future of Nigeria is not merely something to anticipate, but something that young people must actively help to build.

4. As we enter this new month, all Cadets are encouraged to continue demonstrating discipline, integrity, service, leadership and patriotism in their communities and wherever their responsibilities take them.

5. May October bring renewed strength, new opportunities and meaningful achievements to every member of the CADETI family. May our service continue to make a positive difference in our communities, while contributing our part towards a stronger and more united Nigeria.

“Be careful when a naked person offers you a shirt.”

Life teaches us that not every offer is a genuine act of kindness. Sometimes, people offer what they do not have, promise what they cannot provide, or give advice about things they themselves have failed to achieve. That is why wisdom requires us to look beyond people's words and examine their actions, character, and intentions.

A person who has not protected their own peace may not be the best person to teach you about peace. Someone who cannot manage their own life may not always have the right solutions for yours. This does not mean we should reject every piece of advice from imperfect people, but we should learn to discern what is worth accepting and what should be carefully considered.

At the same time, remember that nobody is perfect. A person may be struggling in one area and still have valuable wisdom in another. Therefore, the lesson is not to judge people harshly, but to develop the wisdom to separate useful counsel from empty promises.

As you begin this Monday, be thoughtful about the voices you listen to, the promises you believe, and the opportunities you accept. Not every offer deserves acceptance, and not every advice deserves obedience.
