Solar power is harnessed using Solar Photovoltaic (PV) technology that converts sunlight (Solar radiation) into electricity by using semiconductors.
When the sun hits the semiconductor within the PV cell, electrons are freed and bus bars collect the running electrons which results in electric current. When we place Solar panels connected in a calculated manner in the sunlight, they start producing current and voltage in the form of Direct current (DC) but in most of the countries in the world appliances and equipment runs on Alternative current (AC) so we need to connect to all Solar panels to an Inverter which then converts DC into AC for home use.
Many individual have few or more reasons why they prefer not to go solar. Therefore we decided to answer few questions with explanations on reasons why you may not go for a solar system
IT IS TOO EXPENSIVE
Solar panels are expensive! We understand that. The cost of solar won't be worth it for everyone. However, by buying a solar energy system, you're essentially paying for 25 years of electricity in advance.
With a solar system, you cut down up to 80% or more on electricity bills.
Your house will be running on free, renewable energy.
However, one of the biggest benefits of solar energy (especially residential) is that it decentralizes our energy infrastructure. This means that every house that installs solar panels eases the burden placed on our public infrastructure to generate, transport and distribute immense loads of power to a growing nation. A decentralized clean energy economy would provide enormous benefits to the nation: lower overall costs of energy, cleaner air and water, increased access to public lands and more.
I MIGHT WANT TO SELL MY HOUSE AT SOME POINT. I CAN'T MOVE WITH SOLAR PANELS AND PEOPLE WON'T WANT TO BUY THEM
Homes with solar panels are actually more desirable on the market, as solar actually adds to your property value.
This even gives your home an edge over those without solar panels installed.
It gives you guaranteed value for your home
WON'T SOLAR PANELS DAMAGE MY ROOF?
When properly installed and maintained, solar panels are perfectly safe for your roof. Some solar companies specialize in roofing and even improve the structural integrity of your roof as part of their services. Similar to any other contractor, if you hire a shoddy one, you won't get a great result.
Some modern solar panels are even being built into roof tiles. How can solar damage your roof when solar is your roof? We expect solar installations to become a mainstream practice of roofing contractors.
Solar system is a smart solution for residential and commercial buildings.
You don do not have to own a home before you can get a solar system.
