Absorbent Glass Mat, which refers to a specific type of sealed lead-acid storage battery used with solar inverters.

How AGM WorksLocked Acid: The liquid electrolyte (acid) is completely absorbed into thin fiberglass mats sandwiched between the battery's lead plates.

No Free Liquid: Because the acid is soaked into the mat like a sponge, it cannot spill or leak.

Sealed Design: These are [VRLA (Valve-Regulated Lead-Acid)](0.6.3, 0.6.11) batteries, meaning they are completely sealed and do not require you to add water.
