Not all taps are the same.

Here's what I check before recommending one to my clients:

✔ Material quality (solid brass lasts longer than cheap alloys)
✔ Ceramic cartridge quality for smooth operation and fewer leaks
✔ Water pressure compatibility
✔ Corrosion and rust resistance
✔ Availability of spare parts
✔ Manufacturer's warranty and reputation
✔ Ease of installation and future maintenance

A beautiful tap is not always a durable tap.

The right tap should look good, perform well, and last for years when installed correctly.

That's why I don't recommend taps based on appearance alone. I recommend what will give my clients long-term value and fewer plumbing problems.

I've seen expensive taps start leaking in just 3 months.

Not because they were fake...

But because they were installed the wrong way.

Here are some of the most common causes:

❌ Pipes weren't flushed, allowing sand and debris to damage the tap cartridge.
❌ No angle valve was installed for protection and maintenance.
❌ Water pressure was too high.
❌ Cheap flexible hoses were used.
❌ The tap was forced during installation, damaging the internal components.

Meanwhile...

I've installed average-quality taps that have lasted 5–10 years without a single issue because the installation was done correctly.

Before any tap installation, make sure your plumber does these:

✔ Flush the water pipes properly.
✔ Use quality materials—not just fittings that look attractive.
✔ Check the water pressure.
✔ Install the tap carefully without forcing it.
✔ Fit an angle (stop) valve for easy future maintenance.

Don't just hire a plumber.

Hire someone who understands why taps fail and, more importantly, how to prevent those failures.

Doing the job right once is always cheaper than repairing leaks every few months.

The float rises along with the water, preparing to close the valve.

👉 When the tank is full:
The float reaches its preset level and shuts the valve completely, stopping the water flow automatically.

That's the beauty of it!

✅ No sensors.

It works using a simple mechanical system that combines buoyancy and water pressure to control the water level.
