DAY 44 — 49 — PHASE 5 PROGRESS UPDATE

The structure is rising steadily.

We are currently in Phase 5 — progressing from the reinforced concrete slab level up to the parapet stage, and over the past few days, major structural activities have been ongoing on site.

From:
✔ Pillar formwork and casting
✔ Lintel reinforcement works
✔ Column casting
✔ Blockwork progression

…we are now wrapping up towards the parapet level.

At this stage, every detail matters.

Internally, we maintained 3 block courses, while externally we introduced 2 courses, making provision for the concrete fascia/parapet structure to follow.

DAY 43 — PHASE 5 | FIRST FLOOR PROGRESS CONTINUES

Work is moving steadily on the first-floor blockwork, and within just 2 days, we are already about 80% completed to lintel level.

At this stage, coordination is everything.

While the blockwork progresses, our iron benders are also on site making necessary structural adjustments and preparing the column reinforcements for the next phase.

Next step:
✔ Carpentry works for the structural columns

✔ Final progression to full lintel level

DAY 42 — PHASE 5 BEGINS

After observing the required 7-day curing period, we are officially back on site to commence Phase 5 — First Floor Blockwork.

This waiting period was necessary to allow the decking concrete attain its minimum structural setting strength before further construction activities.

However, while work resumes above, all decking supports remain in place and will continue supporting the slab throughout the full 28-day concrete strength development cycle.

That’s how proper construction is done.

Now, we move into: ✔ First-floor formwork
✔ Blockwork progression
✔ Structural alignment up to lintel level

DAY 33–34: DECKING COMPLETED — PHASE 4 CLOSED

We’ve successfully completed the decking phase of this project.

From formwork to reinforcement and final concrete casting, every stage was executed with precision over the past 3 days—starting May 2nd to May 5th, 2026.

Now, we transition into a critical stage many overlook:

Curing.
We are observing a minimum 7-day curing period to allow the concrete gain its initial structural strength—while all supports remain in place beneath the slab.

Because in real construction:

Concrete doesn’t just dry… it develops strength over time.

At this stage:
• No premature loading
• No removal of supports
• No compromise on process

Day 31–32: Deck Casting in Progress. This is where structure becomes reality.

After over 14 days of precision work, formwork, reinforcement, alignment, and inspections — we are now at one of the most critical stages in any building project:

Casting of the deck.

At this level, there is no room for assumptions only engineering decisions.

Because what happens here determines: • Structural strength
• Load distribution
• Long-term durability

Due to the complexity of the support system, we introduced a temporary access platform (“site flyover”) to ensure safe and efficient movement from ground level to the decking level.

Now, let’s talk about something most people overlook concrete behavior.

We understand slump tests:
True slump. Shear slump. Collapse slump.

But on this project, we intentionally adopted a controlled collapse slump.

DAY 30: FINAL PREPARATION BEFORE DECK CASTING

We’re at a critical stage—wrapping up all pre-decking works before concrete casting begins.

At this level, details are everything.

Our team is currently installing concrete spacers (biscuits)—ensuring proper concrete cover and preventing direct contact between reinforcement and electrical conduits.

This is not optional.
It’s what protects the integrity of the slab.

Next:
• Electrical conduits properly aligned and secured
• Plumbing lines adjusted for accurate first-floor levels (WC & bathrooms)
• Final formwork alignment and boarding by the carpentry team

Only after every element is correctly positioned…
we proceed to casting.
