NewCold's new Bucharest warehouse is set to become the most advanced automated high bay cold storage facility in Romania and the wider Balkan region.

With capacity for 75,000 pallets and a daily throughput of up to 10,000 pallets, the facility will provide automated storage, transport, picking, labelling, copacking and other value added services designed to meet the evolving needs of food producers and retailers.

Developed in response to both customer demand and the growing need for modern cold chain solutions in Romania, the site will strengthen connections across Central and Eastern Europe through NewCold's international transport network.

Once fully operational in early 2027, Bucharest will play a key role in supporting a more efficient, resilient and sustainable food supply chain.

The future of sustainable mobility is bright, and the Delft Solar Team is helping lead the way!

After months of design, testing, strategy, and determination, the Delft Solar Team has completed its first-ever American Solar Challenge, finishing in an impressive second place.

Along the way, the team navigated changing weather conditions, extreme heat, and thousands of kilometers of open road, while experiencing incredible support and hospitality from communities across the United States.

Race highlights:

• 2,535.5 miles (4,080.5 kilometers) covered across the United States
• Eight days of racing
• Six states crossed
• Second place overall in their American Solar Challenge debut

The Brunel Solar Team has now covered 1,403 miles (2,258 km) in the American Solar Challenge, a week long race across the US where every mile counts.

Despite initial setbacks, the team has stayed focused and is locked in a close battle for the lead, trading places with competitors along Route 66.

From long days on the road to finding creative charging spots and meeting communities along the way, it's been an incredible adventure so far.

NewCold is proud to support these students, who designed, built, and are now racing their own solar car across America. Good luck for the final stretch, team. We're cheering you on all the way!
