A milestone for Italy, a milestone for the cold chain. Today, we officially opened our new facility in Ferentino, bringing together customers, local authorities, partners, and colleagues to celebrate an important step in NewCold's growth in Italy.

The ceremony featured remarks from our Founder and CEO Bram Hage, Italy Country Manager Luca Quaresima, Pietro Monaco of Froneri Italy, alongside partners and local and government representatives, followed by the official opening ceremony.

One message stood out throughout the speeches: lasting global partnerships are built not only on infrastructure and technology, but on people, strong relationships, and mutual trust.

More than just a new warehouse, Ferentino represents our continued commitment to supporting our customers with highly automated, energy efficient cold chain infrastructure while creating opportunities for future growth in the region.

A special thank you to everyone who contributed to making this project a reality, from the teams who designed and built the facility to the colleagues who will operate it every day.

This week, we welcomed the Dutch Sliding Federation (BSBN) Bob en Slee Bond Nederland - BSBN / bobslee, skeleton, rodelen to our Global Innovation and Support Center for the official presentation of Team NewCold 2026/2027.

The athletes and coaches representing the Netherlands in bobsleigh and skeleton this season were introduced to the press, with plenty of opportunity for interviews and photo shoots. The event also introduced several new athletes as the team starts a new Olympic cycle and invests in the next generation of talent.

Guests reflected on last season's achievements, heard about the ambitions for the year ahead, and got a first look at the new World Cup sled design.

Today we have officially opened the expansion of our Truganina facility in Melbourne, increasing the combined capacity of our Melbourne operations to 405,000 pallet positions.

The opening marks another milestone in NewCold's continued investment in Australia since entering the market in 2017. Founder and CEO Bram Hage, Karthi Karthigeyan, Vivek Rajendran and Jos van Rijswijk joined colleagues, customers, partners, and government representatives to celebrate the occasion.

NewCold's new Bucharest warehouse is set to become the most advanced automated high bay cold storage facility in Romania and the wider Balkan region.

With capacity for 75,000 pallets and a daily throughput of up to 10,000 pallets, the facility will provide automated storage, transport, picking, labelling, copacking and other value added services designed to meet the evolving needs of food producers and retailers.

Developed in response to both customer demand and the growing need for modern cold chain solutions in Romania, the site will strengthen connections across Central and Eastern Europe through NewCold's international transport network.

Once fully operational in early 2027, Bucharest will play a key role in supporting a more efficient, resilient and sustainable food supply chain.
