Magnetic Toy Investigation - Part 2. Did not expect to find so many more magnetic Toys on my second round around. Also@surprised with 4x Dutch companies… then there are also 1x Belgium, 1x Australia, 1x South-Korea, 1x Ukraine, 1x China and 1x UK. That means there are around 20 companies (including Smartek) who are making magnetic toys. Is that a trend? Is that a crowd? Is that sustainable? What can we learn from this? SpielwarenMesse - day 5. The end. It was a busy day but little traffic at the booth from resellers. Thank you all social media friends and stores for visiting us today. It was super fun and I hope you will make some@great posts soon with all the new sets. Today was network day and we had the opportunity to connect with some great companies. Next week is the crucial follow up week. Out of all new contacts how many will really respond?! I was also able to buy a new game from Constantin Puzzles 🧩. So cool. Took us 1.5h to pack all stuff and fight off some scavengers… said goodbye to all our friends and went for our final dinner together before we leave early morning back to Holland. Thank you everybody for a great week… next is Spot On Retail March 8-9 Rosmalen NL….

SpielwarenMesse - day 4. Yin and Yang. The day started well with a visit to hall 10.0 for Constantin and . Always great to meet with the LP CEO and my favorite game maker. Booth traffic was nice. Not super busy but high quality. Made a trip to hall 11.0 and 12.0 to spot some magnet manufacturers but that is for our final post later. My brother Philip also finished the Smartek 3D app so we started testing it live. Then at 16.00 something very interesting happens and we decided to completely change our booth. Hope we meet tomorrow to see the big change…

SpielwarenMesse - day 3. The best day so far. Did not have time to walk around a lot since there were so many nice people coming over to our booth. Met a lot of new influencers who I hope to start collaborating with. I do feel most already also work with so perhaps we should just do a collab together? Fred was able to finish the paper ball run and it’s a succes. Great way to show the open-ended potential of Smartek with paper… so cool. I did find some new magnetic tiles but I will@keep that for the final part two of OG / NO OG ©️ 🐈…

SpielwarenMesse OG Copy Cat (©️🐈) special - Part 1. Had my first tour around hall 3-4-5 and saw a lot of magnetic building blocks aka tiles. Not sure anymore who is the Original Gangster (OG) but I do see a trend. Each country needs to offer their own magnetic tiles. We have 2x US, 1x Sweden, 1x South-Korea, 1x China, 1x Australia, 1x Belgium… and so far 2x unknown and where are Learn & Grow? All cats are original and have their own USP. Perhaps we will see the next year also at the fair? Great to walk around and learn from others. Hope you can help me to find more so I can make part 2 later this week?

SpielwarenMesse - Day 1. Getting up early to setup the booth. Together with +1.000 other ants we walked down the ramp to the main SpielwarenMesse entrance. Slowly building up the booth and running on coffee. First day was great. Nothing crazy happend so far. Met with and Pim, saw already many people we met last year. Fred and Philip helped out nicely and either walked around to look for new things or stepped in when I was out. Tired but satisfied. Preparing for day 2.
