We are pleased to announce that N-Sea Group have chosen Geoforce Technical Services Ltd, part of Oceanscan Group and the wider Venterra Group, to support our growth ambitions through offering a fully integrated shallow water geotechnical solution on a dedicated vessel as well as across the N-Sea vessel fleet.

Beginning in Q2 2026, N-Sea and GeoForce will deploy a bespoke geotechnical package permanently integrated onto a N-Sea vessel, targeting offshore energy and transmission projects. This collaboration will provide clients with a reliable, mobilised geotechnical platform and removing the uncertainty and delays often associated with vessel of opportunity approaches.

N-Sea Group is pleased to announce that it has entered into a long-term charter agreement with Rederij Groen for the newbuild offshore support vessel 𝗗𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝘂𝘀. The vessel is being constructed by PASSER at Shipyard De Hoop in Tolkamer, The Netherlands.

During the last week of February, the keel‑laying ceremony took place, marking a key milestone as construction of the vessel is now fully underway. Delivery of the Dominus is scheduled for April 2027.

𝗡𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗽𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗟𝗩 𝗔𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮✅
Last weekend our partner Neptune Marine launched the hull for our new cable installation and repair vessel Altera. Despite the icy conditions, the Altera hull left the ship yard in Poland and was successfully floated from a dry dock nearby.

Our Polish-built vessel is expected in the Netherlands in the coming weeks for installation of the accommodation unit and cable mission equipment. Commissioning is scheduled in June, in time for her first array cable installation campaign on the 1,1GW Inch Cape wind farm in Scotland.

𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗡-𝗦𝗲𝗮’𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝘁 𝗗𝗣𝟮 𝗰𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗹𝗮𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗿 𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗹 𝗔𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮
N-Sea’s trusted partner Neptune Marine is currently building a new, next generation, multi purpose shallow draft vessel for N-Sea’s cable installation and repair activities.

The vessel is under construction in Poland and will transfer to The Netherlands later this month. After fitting out and commissioning N-Sea’s in-house developed and proven cable lay and repair spread, she will mobilise for her first inter-array installation project by the end of Q2 2026.

The ‘Altera’ will be dual fuel (methanol) prepared, equipped with a 4500t cable carousel, 25t offshore knuckle boom crane, 6 point mooring system and can accommodate up to 99 people.

𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱: 𝗔 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗨𝗥𝗢
Last month N-Sea Subsea Cables successfully completed the electrification of the ONE-Dyas N05-A gas production platform. N-Sea Group together with it supply chain partners provided a total solution including route engineering, route surveys, UXO identification and clearance, out-of-service cables removal, cable crossings, PLGR, cable transport & installation, burial, termination & testing as well as modifications to the Riffgat substation including a new j-tube. The in-house developed permanently mobilised multipurpose cable repair and installation vessel CURO together with some other vessels of the N-Sea fleet were used to deliver this project.

In the meantime the new cable has been energised and the CURO’s is on its way to a new engagement on the other side of the Atlantic starting early 2026. Over the last few weeks the back deck has been completely re-configured into the export cable jointing mode as part of a call-off under a long term framework agreement with a major OEM.

This new project marks the end of a very busy and successful year for the CURO which started with an interconnector repair in the Mediterranean, a number of inter array replacements on various windfarms in NW Europe, an export cable repair in the Irish Sea and the earlier mentioned installation project for ONE-Dyas.
