We had planned to share more from Dutch Design Week this week. But in light of everything happening around us it didn’t feel right to continue without pausing for a moment.

We’ll continue to share our work, our ideas and the things that inspire us. But today, it felt important to acknowledge the world we are creating within.

A little more about the person behind MĪNIMUC.

I've always believed that the spaces we inhabit shape the way we feel, think and experience life.

This belief guides my work: finding beauty in the ordinary, creating room for the unexpected, and learning to appreciate the moments in between.

Because to me, design has always been about more than the spaces we create. It's about the life that unfolds within them.

As Dutch Design Week opens its doors again, I'm looking back at AHĀ-NEK, a project we had the pleasure of presenting at DDW 2020.

A simple idea, born from a simple question: could an everyday object be rethought?

Six years later, our work may have evolved in scale, but the curiosity behind it remains the same. From objects to spaces, design has always been about exploring possibilities, challenging conventions and leaving room for play.

Earlier this week, we were back in Amsterdam, working through the final installation details of NH25 LOFT.

Are we done yet? Not quite. But we're getting there. A few adjustments, decisions, and a great deal of patience. Because the smallest details often make the greatest difference.

The Teahouse has been shortlisted for the Dezeen Awards 2026 as one of just 8 projects in the running for Kitchen Interior of the Year.

From more than 4,300 entries across 91 countries, seeing this project recognised on an international stage feels incredibly special.

A project that challenges the conventions of domestic space, making room for ritual, stillness, and a different way of living.

A beautiful milestone for MĪNIMUC.
