Happy World Environment Day. 🌍

A day to reflect on how far the energy transition has already come, and how much further there is still to go.

When we started, we believed waste could be transformed into something valuable. That organic gases could be captured, cleaned, and turned into renewable energy instead of being lost to the atmosphere.

Today, that belief is reality across 35 countries, with 732 million Nm³ of biomethane produced annually and CO₂ recovered and given a second life in industrial applications.

But what matters most is not the scale, it is the people behind it. The engineers, project teams, partners, operators, farmers, communities, and industries turning ideas into working installations that make the energy transition real.

They are the quiet force behind every installation, every upgrade, every tonne of CO₂ captured and every cubic metre of biomethane produced.

That is the part we never take for granted.

And there is still so much more to build.

We are just getting started.

There’s a bigger opportunity inside biogas than many people realize. 🌱

Biogas upgrading is an essential step in transforming raw biogas into high-quality biomethane that can replace fossil natural gas and support the energy transition.

But what makes modern upgrading projects even more exciting is what else can be achieved during that same process.

At a project in Germany, biogas is upgraded into biomethane while the separated CO₂ is recovered and liquefied into valuable bioCO₂. Instead of treating CO₂ as a residual stream, it becomes a usable product for a diverse range of industries.

Our team was on site in Lorca this week, where one of five large-scale biogas facilities currently under development in Spain is steadily taking shape. 🌱

Seeing our biogas upgrading and CO₂ liquefaction technology installed on site is an exciting milestone, but what makes this project truly meaningful is its impact beyond the plant itself.

Projects like this help local farmers create value from agricultural waste, support local communities, and contribute to Spain’s growing renewable energy ambitions.

Cremona has been famous for what skilled hands can build since the days of Stradivarius. 🎻

The craftmanship looks a little different now.

InstalSolutions, our own manufacturing facility, has boots on the ground in sunny Le Gere in Cremona, northern Italy. With the last components now on site, the Ringas project is entering its final stretch.

The team is expanding and modernising an existing biogas plant, integrating the upgrading technology that will convert raw biogas into high-purity biomethane, delivered directly into the Italian gas grid and generating a far more valuable revenue stream for the plant.

That is a wrap on Regatec 2026. 🙌

What a couple of days. Our Area Sales Managers Beatriz Corceiro and Niraj Ravindra Kunkulol represented Bright Renewables at Regatec 2026, showcasing our CO₂ liquefaction and carbon capture technologies.

Beatriz took to the stage to present on Austria's first small-scale bio-CO₂ capture and liquefaction system. The question at the heart of her presentation was a powerful one. How can the biomass and biogas sectors become emissions negative using the right technology?

Niraj worked the floor, connecting with developers, operators and partners from across the sector. From the conversations this week it is clear. Bio-CO₂ is moving from emerging opportunity to commercial reality. We are proud to be building the technology that makes that possible.
