Onze collega komt met enige regelmaat in het Prinses Maxima Centrum voor haar zoontje, die daar onder behandeling is. We horen zoveel goede verhalen over het centrum en het feit dat kinderen zich daar even niet ziek hoeven te voelen, dat wij het tijd...

Jullie weten het allemaal. Bij The World of Scotland staat er een hondje op de koffie tafel met het verzoek om een bijdrage in te stoppen voor de koffie of thee.

Wij, The World of Scotland gebruikt dat geld niet om de koffie of thee te kopen.

Wij sparen het op voor een goed doel.

In dit geval een beter doel kunnen wij niet verzinnen. Onze jongste dochter Senga en schoonzoon William gaan rennen voor de Prinses Maxima Ziekenhuis in Utrecht waar hun zoon en dus onze kleinzoon werd behandeld voor een goedaardige tumor in zijn hoofd.

Wij willen al onze klanten van harte bedanken voor hun bijdrage in het hondje op onze koffietafel in Maasdam . Echt top om € 500 (!) over te kunnen maken naar de Prinses Maxima Ziekenhuis vanochtend.

Voor de mensen die alsnog willen steunen. Op de foto kunnen jullie de link zien en gebruiken. En voor de mensen die ons bezoeken voor 27 augustus in de winkel is er volop mogelijkheid om of geld in de hondje te stoppen of via een QR code geld direct over te maken.

Please be careful. Put/stick something odd that shouldn’t be there on your dashboard so that everytime you get in your car you wonder what or why that thing is there. It will remind you to drive on the correct side of the road. Personally I dont think a watch would help unless you are like me and dont wear one. Stay safe and keep our Scottish folk safe.

Tourists driving on the wrong side of roads in Scotland were responsible for 35 crashes in 2023.

It’s no secret that many people enjoy campervanning and caravanning throughout the Highlands and Islands, however this needs to be done responsibly to ensure that all locals and visitors alike can continue to enjoy our roads and the scenery on offer.

🛻 NEVER park in passing places on single track roads.

🏕️ Only pitch up in suitable designated car parks or caravan sites. Laybys, short stay car parks and the side of the roads are not suitable, and under the Scottish Outdoor Access Code you cannot wild camp from vehicles Do not drive off road or on private roads/tracks.

🚙 Pull over to allow other road users to overtake. Frustration causes accidents.

🚽 Only dispose of your rubbish at recycling points, and only empty waste water tanks at designated pump out sites. Pumping out anywhere else is not only dangerous but is a serious offence.

Wat neem je mee van je overleden moeder? Ik wilde alles meenemen maar dat gaat natuurlijk niet. Ik heb foto’s, brieven en veel kleine dingetjes maar wilde echt iets voelbaars van haar. Uiteindelijk heb ik haar stoel meegenomen. Echter zag het niet zo heel erg mooi uit na in de volle zon gestaan te hebben en twee jaar in een bejaardenhuis.
Met hulp van onze stoffen boeken van The World of Scotland en meubel stoffeerder Reedijk Woondesign in Dordrecht is mijn moeders stoel weer prachtig geworden. Love it🥰
