The poinsettia season in Switserland is almost here! 🎄

The first Poinsettia Superstars, including Luna Red and Leona Red, are already showing their first splash of colour at our customer Schlenker Qualitätspflanzen. ❤️

Today is World Handwashing Day, a great moment to highlight the importance of hygiene at Beekenkamp Vegetables and Ornamentals. 🌱

Protecting our crops start at the entrance. Everyone entering our facilities follows a strict hygiene protocol. Hand are first disinfected, then thoroughly washed an dried, followed by passing through a hygiene gate where both hand and footwear are sanitised. 💦

Before entering the greenhouse, visitors are required to wear full protective clothing, including dedicated shoes, an overall, gloves and a hairnet. Our employees also wear company workwear, which is laundered on-site. These measures help us maintain a clean environment and protect our plants from pests and diseases, ensuring healthy crops and quality for our customers.

Last Tuesday, we welcomed a large group of visitors from Plant Empowerment to Deliflor Chrysanten for their consultancy day at our location. 🌼

During the day, visitors were introduced to the Beekenkamp Group through a company presentation and were given a behind-the-scenes tour of Deliflor Chrysanten.

The tour provided insight into our chrysanthemum production process and daily operations.

To complete the experience, we provided lunch, drinks, a bouquet of chrysanthemums, and a goodie bag.

We look back on a successful day filled with knowledge sharing, valuable discussions, and new insights.
