Café Marlo | Designed to Welcome.
This counter is the first element that welcomes guests as they enter Café Marlo, making it an important part of the overall interior experience.

Originally covered in blue tiles, the existing counter and the matching kitchen wall tiles featured colours that fell outside Café Marlo’s new brand palette. Rather than removing all the existing tiles, we looked for a more cost-effective way to create a cleaner, more cohesive look while making the most of what was already there.
The walls feature the same Beton Ciré finish used on the entrance counter, creating a visual connection between the two areas. Paired with a clean-lined wooden wall panel, this combination preserves the simplicity of Japandi design while bringing warmth and texture to the interior.
We aligned the top edge of the wooden wall panel with the counter to ensure architectural continuity throughout the space. Integrated indirect lighting adds a soft, ambient glow, highlighting the panel’s natural character while making the seating area feel brighter and more inviting.
The custom-made sofa was designed and sized specifically for this space, with its proportions carefully considered in relation to the counter stools and the overall layout. Every detail works together to create a cohesive, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed seating experience.
