Next stop: Fort Lauderdale

Our newest refit is already there, we’re on our way.

Awatea completed a seven month refit in May and hasn’t stopped cruising since. The 45-metre Royal Hakvoort-built motor yacht has been showing off her new colour scheme in London and now in the U.S..

She'll be berthed at Safe Harbor Rybovich during the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, and we're looking forward to seeing her again.

Get in touch to meet the team and find out how we can transform your yacht.

A superyacht refit is not a maintenance event. It is a capital project with fixed timelines, significant financial exposure, and no room for error once it begins. What separates a controlled project from a problematic one is not the yard itself, but how the project is managed.

The facilities at Balk Shipyard are purpose-built for ReCrafts™

And it all starts with our bespoke shiplift.

This custom-made system has been engineered for speed, efficiency and safety. We can haul yachts out of the water and onto the hardstanding in a matter of hours. A rail system running throughout the yard then lets us position yachts in any one of our three climate-controlled ReCraft™ halls, ready to be reimagined.

With a capacity of up to 1,000 tonnes, we are perfectly primed for all yachts from 30 to 65 metres in length, and with full keel support and unlimited head height, we can safely manoeuvre yachts with even the most delicate hulls or the tallest masts.

And when it's time to relaunch, we can have yachts back in the water in under an hour.
