But this won’t work simply because there is not sufficient capacity for needed ballast. A ship without cargo needs approximately 25% of here DW capacity available for ballast. Above don’t have by fare that capacity. In addition, above solution will reduce the ships speed enormously and consequently pollute the air much more. And finally, above solution cannot be used to trim the ship when partly loaded and compensate share force. Above solution is dangerous and IMO will not accept above without a complete additional treatment system.
The only liable ballast free solution today is Ceobas (Continuous Exchange Of Ballast At Sea) a ballast free system that reduce the ships under water volume, reduce the wight of the ship, increase the ship speed and simultaneously increase the ships draft for a safe ocean crossing.

The only sustainable way to avoid ships from polluting the entire ocean is to prohibit ships from using water as ballast. IMO has enforced regulation to prevent ships from taking microorganism, bacteria and other unwanted alive small fish and crabs, but all so fare approved rinsing methods pollute the air, more then it rinses the water. Non of the rinsing methods remove the microplastic and other toxic materials from being transported from one continent to another.
Ceobas (Continuous Exchange Of Ballast At Sea) is a completely ballast free constructed ship, that allow the ship to cross the ocean without bringing with polluted or unwanted ballast. A Ceobas construction ship makes it stronger, safer, less consumption and consequently less air pollution.
