Before the crowds fill Tøyenparken, there is an entire festival site to build.

This year, Hallgruppen is delivering 238 tents, 11,000 m² of flooring and more than 10 kilometres of fencing to Øyafestivalen.

Across the site, our structures become stages, food outlets, covered areas and other spaces that help shape the festival.

Setting the stage for Øya Festival 🎪

Preparations are well underway at Tøyenparken, where our teams are setting up many of the tents, stages and structures for this year’s Øyafestivalen.

One of them is the new version of Sirkusscenen, measuring 45 x 60 metres with around 2,700 m² under cover and a 40-metre clear span without internal columns.

On Wednesday it all changes. Øya opens, Tøyenparken fills with people and music, and the site we built disappears behind the show. That's the job done right 🎶

The challenge with retail renovation? The business still has to open the next morning.

Customers, deliveries, stock and daily routines do not disappear just because parts of the building are under renovation.

A temporary structure can help keep parts of the operation open and functional during the renovation period. Placed close to the existing building, it can create space for sales areas, storage, customer flow or back-of-house functions - and be dismantled or relocated when the need changes.

In projects like this IKEA setup, the structure becomes part of the store environment for a period of time, supporting customers, goods and daily flow while the building changes around it.

What is a temporary building?

A temporary building is more than a short-term structure. It is a flexible building solution for businesses that need extra space quickly - without waiting for a traditional construction process.

It can be used for storage, logistics, production, construction, maintenance, emergency response or seasonal needs, and depending on the project, it can be insulated, fitted with gates, doors, lighting and flooring, and engineered according to relevant requirements, site conditions and local loads.

300 m² of protected workspace in Båtsfjord.

Hallgruppen has delivered a 10 x 30 x 6 m uninsulated Heavy Load structure for a temporary bridge maintenance project in Northern Norway.

The structure is used for abrasive blasting and coating work, creating shelter from snow, wind and low temperatures.

We delivered a 24 x 35 metre padel structure just outside Riga - with open walls to keep the view part of the game.

The padel structure is surrounded by forest, open space and beautiful natural surroundings.

The client wanted the courts to be protected from the weather, without losing the feeling of playing outdoors. With open walls, the facility keeps the view from inside while creating a covered space for play.

A great project in a beautiful setting - and what is described as the biggest outdoor padel playground in the Baltics.
