ECO Trawl studied if the concept of replacing trawl doors with steerable electric thrusters can save fuel and increase trawl precision. The study shows that fuel consumption can be reduced by up to 30% and that the thrusters are stable and controllable

I en forstudie som nylig har blitt avsluttet har det blitt påvist at styrbare thrustere kan erstatte tradisjonelle tråldører og dermed redusere energiforbruket med så mye som 30 %.
