From vision to reality: Hima Rjukan is delivered 👏🎉
What does it take to turn a bold vision into reality? For us, it took years of planning, ex*****on and relentless teamwork – and today, we’re proud to say: Hima Rjukan is complete.
This project ignited a passion in us: The vision of revolutionizing land-based food production. From the first sketches to a fully operational RAS facility that exceeds expectations, this is truly a dream come true.
– Eyvi has delivered projects before, but Hima Rjukan will always hold a special place in our history. When we signed the agreement in autumn 2022 and broke ground, we knew Eyvi had reached a new level. Our goal was to build a pioneering, visionary facility where innovation and quality go hand in hand. It was a challenging balancing act – but we believed we could do it. And we did! says Kjetil Isaksen, CEO at Eyvi.
This facility is unique in many ways, but what makes it truly special is that it’s the world’s first Eyvi RAS facility. It includes hatchery, smolt, and grow-out departments, featuring 16 advanced Eyvi RAS units and supporting systems. Our scope covered process turn-key deliveries, as well as wastewater, sludge, and pre-processing contracts – ensuring efficient and environmentally compliant operations. The facility supports an annual production of about 9,000 tons of premium trout.
Our Project Director, Karl Levinsen, emphasizes the extraordinary team effort behind this achievement:
– The success of this project comes down to people and the cooperation between Eyvi, Hima, Totalbetong, and all our subcontractors and partners. It’s not just systems, procedures, methodology and predefined designs; it’s the people and their competence, curiosity, and the will to succeed.
Hima Rjukan is more than a completed project, it’s a real-life example of what sustainable food production can look like. This is just the beginning! 🚀
A huge thank you to Hima Seafood, Totalbetong As and all our subcontractors and partners who made this possible.
