We live in a world of shallow. -
We are surrounded by fake news and fake people and in fact these things are celebrated and many people aspire towards it. -
Materialism runs rampant and people give immense value to what they wear, what they own, where they go, and who they hang out with. Sometimes I find it tough to have actual meaningful conversation with people because often times it goes back to the materialistic subjects that are quite honestly trivial. -
I wonder if this year is the year that we can make a change. That we can actually go deeper than the surface level and get to know people not facades. But in order to do that it requires building a relationship which requires listening and empathizing. -
Materialism is built on egos and ego is the enemy of relationships. In order to go deeper in anything it requires sacrifice. Let’s all make an effort to actually go deeper than the surface and see how it affects our lives and others. -
