A Tribute to the Guardians of Our Skies
Today, we mark CAAN Day, commemorating the establishment of the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) as an autonomous aviation regulator in 1998. Its legacy, however, is deeply rooted in the Department of Civil Aviation established in 1957, laying the enduring foundations for the safe and regulated skies Nepal relies upon today. This moment reflects decades of stewardship and the collective efforts of professionals who have quietly and consistently upheld the safety and continuity of the nation’s air transport system.
Since 1996, Mahavir Shree International has been closely associated with this journey, standing alongside Nepal’s aviation institutions through periods of growth, transition, and modernization. Our association reflects a long-term commitment to national infrastructure and to the principles that underpin safe and reliable aviation.
On this 27th CAAN Day, we reaffirm our pledge to continue supporting the mission of safer, more secure, and more efficient skies for Nepal.
