Unfortunately, over the years this Redwood suffered wind damage, with the top being blown out and branches continuing to fail during high winds.

As the tree was situated over a church playground, the decision was made to remove it as a precaution for everyone’s safety.

It was a shame to see such a landmark tree go, but sometimes removal is the safest option. Here are some photos from the job! 🌳

This Totara tree was growing right on the edge of an eroding bank, putting it at risk of falling. 🌳

To stabilise the tree and keep the job safe, we secured it with two ropes before carefully dismantling it piece by piece.

When dismantling a tree in a tight space, every cut counts. 🌳

Instead of free-falling branches, we often use a technique called rigging to lower sections safely and under control, protecting the surrounding property and keeping the job safe.

Here's an example of a negative rig on this Casuarina tree.
