Rutter Civil Limited is looking for a motivated and hardworking Excavator Operator to join our high performing team based in the Clutha District.

About the role:
You’ll be working across a variety of projects including earthworks, drainage, rural and 3-waters infrastructure operating a range of modern GPS equipment.

What we’re looking for:
5+ years experience operating excavators & machinery
Reliable and safety-conscious
Quality focused
Physically fit and ready for hands-on work
Team player with a strong work ethic
Class 2/4 license or WTR endorsements are a bonus

📍 Based in Balclutha – work close to home with a supportive local company.

Another quality project wrapped up recently for KB Contractors in Kaikorai Valley ✅️

Awesome effort from the crew delivering works safely and to a high standard 🙌

Back into business for another year 👏

Straight into it with subgrade testing at Riverlea Developments ✅ — all ready for engineered fill.

The team removed a roof to allow for drainage installation on our CDC Gormack Street drainage contract, then reinstated it seamlessly ✅

We also kicked off in Kaikorai Valley, working alongside KB Contractors to replace 33kVA power cables for Aurora Energy ⚡✅

A solid start to the year — plenty more to come 💪🚧
