David is an electrical engineer with more than 15 years experience in various electro-mechanical roles within the apparel manufacturing sector overseas, plastic, food, seafood and winery sector in New Zealand. He gained estimation, design and commissioning experiences for all electrical as
pects. In 2011 David finished his Degree (BEngTechElec) in Electromechanical Engineering at Metropolitan Technical Institute in Colombia. Following his degree, he decided to move to New Zealand where he extended his education in Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunications in Auckland, 2012. David started work in New Zealand for RX Plastics Ltd in Ashburton as the only support Electrical manager, Electrical engineer and Industrial electrician. He developed a variety of projects within the company and his role involved estimation, design and commissioning of new machinery for PE department, capacity estimations for new 2000 kva transformer, estimation and identification of new main switch and mcb’s for machinery protection, commissioning, calculation and installation for new extruder (750 kw), new dryer (250 kw), new chiller (160 kw), saw machinery, haulf off, tanks (250 kw). David moved to an Electrical supervisor role for Silver Fern Farms where he was responsible for the everyday leadership and direction of the electricians at Fairton. David managed staff to achieve specification, electrical compliance, health and safety targets by adhering to company procedures, policies and professional requirements. David moved to Marlborough to join Boyd Wilson Ltd in July 2014. He was working as Industrial electrician supporting different processes as Seafood, Wineries etc. David decided in early 2015 to create his own company, Galeano Electrical Ltd. He is looking forward to support you in all demands in different areas - industrial, commercial and domestic. David loves sports and outdoor activities such as swimming, fishing, scuba diving and golf. He is a big fan of moto-sports and enjoying travelling. He is a highly motivated and hard working person, who is able to adapt quickly to new working environments.
