Well over due for an update people.
It’s been a tough year, but on the up now finally able to drive again. I’m hitting the pools daily now and starting the gym as soon as we sort a program.
Things are moving a long nicely. But I have just found out I might have two more surgeries this year. One is fusing the wrist, I’m getting a lot of pain so I’m looking forward to that one.
And two is looking at taking out the big rod from my right leg and putting in two shorter ones to give back my knee. I’m nervous about this one because my knee isn’t that flash and it might make things difficult moving forward but I’m finding it very restrictive with the rod in, so that’s a big decision. I’ll make it in October when I have a CT scan.
Anyway until then onwards on
upwards. 🫶☺️

Well three years on and what a journey it’s been. The support I’ve received and the love shown has been unbelievable. Who would have thought that little old me had the people around me that I do. My family have been amazing. My crazy sister and brother in-law for taking me and putting up with me, has been amazing. Words can’t express how grateful I am, thank you again.
Things haven’t gone to plan with my life but everything happens for a reason and one day I’ll find out why hahaha.
I’d just like to thank to everyone that’s been with me for through this.
Jules for all the times you have taken time away from your busy work and all the little things you do that add up to big things🥹. Dad for running me around and mum , I know it’s been hard with what you are going through but still being there for me xx. Jac for her care packages (yummy snacks) Brooke for her care packages (more yummy foods). I could go on but you’ve all probably stopped reading by now anyway lol. But I appreciate it all.
I never thought i would still be recovering after three years but here i am living the dream.
Oh and p.s. I’ve been working on my weight and have lost 15kg. I’m stoked 🤙
Cheers for reading if you are still here lol

Well hello there peps
Been a little while since my last update but there wasn’t much going on, until there was. Lol
So this year has seen two surgeries both with more pain after the fact than any other.
I had hand surgery mid January, it when well. Had a bit of, still am. But we are trying to build strength now with rehab.
The second surgery was on my femur.
That happened last Tuesday almost a week ago. It was planned for 5-6 hrs but I’ve never been one to go to plans. So of it 10.5 hrs and has knocked me harder than any other operation. But I’ve got the most amazing support team around me, that I’ve got no choice but succeed.
So I’ve been told no driving for a month and my life can’t go on anymore. Lol no all jokes aside I’m good resting up and getting ready to hit the ground running 🤙awesome cheers

Well the journey just keeps going. I’ve just had surgery on wrist to remove the last bone they left behind, long story don’t ask lol.
And just had approval for surgery on my Femar. They are going to do a bone transplant and then snap the Femar twist in to realign with other leg and then kick it forward to put it in a more useable position.
Im in a great head space every step is in the right direction. So onward and upward 🤙

Well it’s been a busy few weeks with my hand operation back five weeks ago, then the operation on my calf and achilles tendon two weeks ago.
Now I’m non weight bearing for four more weeks, in a cast. Then another 6 weeks in a moon boot. But after that I’m back playing rugby oh yeah.
No on a Serious note I’m going to be walking watch this space.

Well it’s been Two whole years since that day that pushed my life in a different direction.
I’ve still got a “wee” way to go in my journey of recovery but I’d thank everyone again that has helped along the way.

It’s with a very heavy heart and a huge feeling of lost, that I have to say goodbye to my 2IC. He’s been a big part of many people’s lives over the years. And touched there hearts. Why is it our m8s don’t live as long as we do.
Miss ya Marley. Love ya m8

Hey guys. Hopefully everyone has got back into the groove of things, after the holidays.
Thought I’d give a small update.
My wrist is doing good after last year’s operation but not quite up there where the specialist thinks we can be and the range of movement isn’t great. So he’s got a plan, a scary one but hey it all adds to the journey aye.
So he’s going to remove a row of bones along my wrist joint. Which will increase the range of movement and free up the joint. so that’s happening ( if acc approve lol)
Then the leg I’m waiting on my appointment with my new specialist. That’s happening on the 20th of this month and the plan there is to do a tendon lengthening on the base of the calve.
Then there will be a lot more rehab with better results. So fingers crossed.
Take care out there. And don’t work to hard. Peace

Well it’s been and still will be a long road but this is a great feeling slowly getting movement and flex back.
The infection set me back, having to have more surgery’s but I’ve passed what I had at rehab in the hospital. And the aim is 90* , so we’ll just keep pushing.

Hey everyone who might still be following. Just a quick update I’m heading in for my 7th surgery tomorrow to fix my broken tendon in my hand. Can’t wait to not have to ware my brace anymore. And to be able to use it normally.
Anyway thank you for listening haha
Peace
