C & R Developments C & R Developments is one of New Zealand’s leading civil earthworks and bulk earthmoving contracting companies.

100% New Zealand owned Cambridge based C&R was formed in 1998 by the four Ross brothers, who were the previous owners of Baker Construction Ltd (BCL). So when dealing with us, you deal with the owners of the business. We own and operate a wide selection of heavy plant able to undertake the toughest and most demanding jobs. We say that no challenge is too great – we do the big jobs, plus we have th

e finishing touch. We have experience in working in all New Zealand geological structures and have won awards for our environmental work – we meet and surpass the most stringent conditions. To this end, many of our vehicles are GPS equipped to ensure exacting targets are met. Our staff are highly skilled and motivated - in-house training honing our core skills. Plant repair, refurbishment and maintenance is carried out in our Cambridge workshop. We take pride in stating that we complete major projects on time and within budget.

Our great mechanical & servicing team have recently completed three comprehensive rebuilds - one for each of the major dumptruck classes we operate, which includes:
- Komatsu HD785-7 (100 tonne capacity)
- Komatsu HD605-7 (60t tonne capacity)
- Komatsu HM 400-2 (40 tonne capacity)
